the bg i made has some tile from the YI ow (the toweres and rocks) and some clouds from YI.
I'll give more details to the fortress bg and FG, i'll put mist there too

The castle/fortress BG is kinda.... plain ... please fix.
The first pic BG looks like something from YI.... so thats also good.

i am starting the ow and the levels of world 3, and i am planning on releasing a demo w/ 4 worlds, the waterfall levels will probably be in the 4th world (the mushroom kingdom)
Ill make a mushroom kingdom in my 4th world, w/ peach's castle invaded by koopas and other monsters
JJ64 -- Except for the treetops... it looks nice. I liked a lot of the Super Mario All-Stars backgrounds, and the GFX look great. If the level design is as good as it looks, I'll download this.

His backgrounds own? How? They're nothing more than rips as far as I can tell, minus the second shot HH posted with the BG: it just looks like it was stretched out. Over. And over.
Other than that, it's not so bad. Although those... ... darm it, what was the name... lady bug things look like they're still stuck in 8-bit land.
And you also used that oh-so-wonderful DW:TLC pipe change. Eh. |

Im liking what Im seeing. Though... why a dark brown border on the treetops? looks a but... iffy.
The new graphics put an amazing amount on my eyes. They arent JUST rips which makes them better
Ripped sprites = WOOT!!!
This is definatley something Im waiting for. |

the thing over the water is sitted, it is almost like a boat standing still
and you can gfx by taking some sprites from a file and outting in an exgfx one, you can make lots of combinations just putting the sprites in their real place at the bin file and doin the necessay palete changes later |

Very nice, some of the GFX like the tree tops in the first screen don't look that great but mostly everything else is pretty cool. How do you mix ExGFX? like the 14th screenshot down? Also in the screen where mario is on a boat island. Does that thing move in the water or does it just sit there? Very nice do you have a demo yet? |

Here are the new screenshots of mario legends I: the spectral room
1. Outside the forest palace - screen one
2. Outside the forest palace - screen two
3. The level Forest Way, it features a short underground part
4. The first level of the game
5. Pansers that follow mario!!!!!! ;;;
6. The level troopa hills, w/ a new bg a la smb plus a smw style
7. A waterfall level (it will be probably at world four)
Some of these waterfalls level have that enemy that goes up and down above the vines, as you can see at one of the screens
