*minor bump* I'm sorry to break this to you, but if you want full-height columns with background images and stuff, you'd be better off using a very basic <table> for the column setup and then use divs within. This is because CSS currently doesn't have column support. CSS3 has it, but that's still in draft. |

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, you might want to deepen yourself into the visibility attribute as well if you want to have a completely dynamic website. If the attribute name isn't obvious enough, you can make objects, sich as >div<s invisable, and making them appear on command. |

Can you show us a simple outline of what you're trying to make, such as a sample page using tables or even an image with rectangles showing where everything is supposed to go? I have some experience with getting nested div's to behave themselves, but it's easier for me to just figure out how to recreate something than to explain the process. I can point out what everything does afterward, though. |

It's basically 'overusage' of a lot of <div> 'layers' with 'absolute positioning;. That way you can have very sorted source code and it's easy enough to change, let's say, one 'div layer' at a time. |

That's exactly the problem... I don't know how... unless I begin to use tables which defies the point. |

take what you learned from the tutorial on how to add columns to a full-width page, and extend it to add sub-columns in an existing column. |
