Try Zophar's Domain. They have lots of links to hacks, completed and unfinished alike.

Gah, there needs to be like, one site that keeps all the complete hacks. Cause I'm in a SMW complete hack playing mood and don't even know what to download.

Agreed, but, it's the only part of Mario Legacy I tend to put any real effort in to. I figure, you're gonna be in it the longest, might as well be pretty. And it is. A hell of a lot better than most of the crap put up around here, although, it's still not... great. A lot of the problem with my overworld is that it's just not done. I create it piece by piece and am constantly reworking things I'm not happy with, but then it turns out I don't like the changes and then I'm just too tired to change it and then forget it later, and that's why 99% of the things in my hack that could be better aren't.

As for the comment I made earlier, that was just to make you wonder what I was thinking.

And in regards to no one finishing hacks, that's why it's taking me so long to finish mine. It doesn't take THAT much work to change all the graphics, after all. I work on it for a couple weeks at a time, take a break for a while, and work some more. It keeps me from getting bored with it and abandoning it.

This is a problem I've noticed throughout the hacking scene, not just with NES/SNES hacks. For whatever reason, lots of people are like me: They'd apparently much rather start something than finish it. So they do a few palette changes, a level or two, and then...well, it's not done, but it never gets updated again. As you said, it's a shame.

As an aside, once I become a bit more adept at programming--you know, like at the level a soon-to-graduate CS major SHOULD be at--I may try creating development tools that let you make games along the lines of the Mario series (In other words, making the game from start-to-finish, no hacking involved...these would be games designed for the PC) No promises though.

I think it's a real shame that there ain't that many complete hacks. I just now started a hack and don't plan to release it till it's almost done. That way I won't be teasing people if I ever decide to take a break from making it. I was waiting to do mine till I could find my own unique angle to it. Thanks to the hack that had the SM-Allstars music and the one guy who is making a Super Mario Land game I finally found my inspiration. Eh, look for it in 6 months or however long it takes to completely hack the game.

Well, I don't mind as long as people aren't ripping off of me extensively (in other words, when all of the hacks look almost exactly like mine, and I know they won't), and nobody has yet. It was a chance I took, and things turned out alright. And besides, when i first released my hack i had no clue that Fu had anything hidden, nor was I looking for secrets, so I didn't know that Locking the Rom was even possible. I'm also usually pretty generous about things, because I've had to wait and wonder about many things throught out my life, so I know what it feels like to want something and not be able to obtain it most of the time, and belive me, it really sucks.

And it is good you left it unlocked. But I will probably not use any of the ExGFX (except the sprites... maybe) because the Map16 is really confusing to me. Really crowded.

As to your question, Handish2000, I know that the SMW+ hacks are complete and have a new overworld. I don't have the url to the site, though. I will find one.

Okay thanks Atma, I will take that as saying that I can use the tree. if I do, and can get it into my game, you will get full credit for it in the credits. Thanks

Extract the ExGfx, then go to level A, and click on the Yellow Mushroom (I didn't use the "Super Gfx Bypass" in that Level, so it's not the Red Mushroom in this case). It will bring open a window that'll tell you which Gfx/ExGfx that Level is using.

Edit: (the above info will usefull for finding the Gfx or ExGfx # 's that I've used in any Level).
Since I've got it open already, the ExGfx numbers it uses are:
F5 F4
D7 E0

I could do that but it would take hours. The GFX are scattered all over the place. And I will need to make sure its okay with Atma X. If it is, and he doesn't have the .bin, I will have to do it my self, ugh.

Just open the rom and extract the graphics, making sure it's in its own folder (don't put it in another hack's folder.)

Atma X are your hacks (specifically the one that that link points to) normally unlocked? Just wanted to know (I do have your hack and considering some of the amazing GFX you have I think that it should be locked. The one I have isn't) And BTW would you happen to have the .bin file for those trees in level 0A and BC. They are ABSOULTY AMAZING!!!!! Take a look at this OW, it's not from a complete hack, nor is the OW itself complete, but it looks good for what is currently made (I think DemoWorld is one of the only few completed hacks, so it may not be easy finding what your looking for)

Besides Super Demo World, I mean, and it can be locked or unlocked, I don't really care.
