Yesh he was sick and "Jimmy of the East" gave him some alcohol and that caused him to change back for a little while.
Conan also had the case at the restaurant wrong, he thought it was the women who turned out to be Rachels mothere did it, when it was actually that one big guy. Rachels mother solved the case that time. |

If you watched the one where the culprit turns out to be someone that he eventually gets in trouble with (i.e. his parents) he doesn't always win. And also he does screw up from time to time...but yea...he does have that little problem with getting cases that work on the culprit's conscience.
Oh and yea...he does go back...he did that a few eps. towards the end of the run they gave us, but it was only temporary. It was triggered by alcohol, dunno why or how, it just was. |

I watch Case Closed whenever i can . But i do agree, there are some plot holes, but it is a great show nonetheless. Does Conan ever get back to his normal self? |

the strange thing about almost every single 'bad guy' that Conan catches in solving his crime, is that they all sorta give up at the end. instead of going out with a fight, almost all of the endings i've seen the criminials almost apologize for their crimes and are humanized by tragic back-stories. |

They started repeating eps. about two or three weeks ago...so if you missed any eps. they're in repeats now. |

It's a decent show but not anything too special. I like a few things about it and some of it's funny. I didn't even know it got to that many shows , sucks how it only gets 51. I've only watched maybe 4-5 episodes. |

I don't know why they wouldn't...but then I have a sneaky suspicion that there's too many Cowboy Bebop or Trigun fans and that we need to watch the series again for another dozen times before they change their minds. |

Finally some replies, I watched all the episodes on Cartoon Network and they were all just fantastic. I realized there were alot of plot holes, but cmon there wouldnt be a show without them. I hope they keep it going past 50, its a great show. |

I'd close this...but I won't...I had something to add anyways for a while but didn't want to bump this.
Case Closed is up through 40 with CN now...but apparently the rights have only been bought until episode 51, with no intention of going further than that.

case closed is an interesting anime, I've watched every episode i could that was on cartoon network before they started showing reruns. anyone notice everywhere conan and rachel go someone ends up dead? there can't be that much killing over in Japan can there? and there's no simple cases either, there's never just 'some guy shot someone out of randomness', it's always 'some guy killed this other guy with a staple and peice of chicken for ticking him off'. but i geuss it wouldn't be so interesting without those cases, would it?

I hate Scooby Doo but I really like Case Closed. Its just down right entertaining.
As for shows like Serial Experiment Lain and Boogie Pop Phantom I really cant get into them because they are just so wierd and confusing. Also Ive never had a chance to see either from episode one so I dont even bother. Cant say Im not interested in seeing what its all aboout though. |

The show kind of irritates me, but I'm also kind of interested in seeing what happens..and becuase I usually don't have anything better to do that time of night, I watch it. |

Well I guess you guys can't really know if they have run out of ideas or not since the series should be really early on right now. I tell you, look forward to the horrible dub of One Piece instead, in case they don't majorly screw it over (95% chance of that happening) and remove all the story, that one easily beats Conan. |

As for Hajime no Ippo, I think teh longest running manga these days is the one about the Tokyo police box, Kochira Kameari... ...uh, can't remember the rest! But there are over 130 volumes of that, and probably over 1500 12-page episodes. |

I think that a sign of a good show is that it has been going on for so long and they havent run out of episode ideas (kind of, some scenarios are kind of similar). Also, the way that Conan solves each crime differently each time is pretty good. And these puzzles are tough, I have only figured out a few on my own and I have been watching it from the begining. And as for the person critacizing ATHF, well there will be a time when your fartin' face will know what is happening, just get the hell away from my house you freaks!!!-carl, captain of the one eyed wonder weasles |

I complete agree that you're idiots without tastes too, but what do I know?
I told you already, it's a somewhat 'intellgent' anime...definitely not one for the feeble minded... |

I completely agree! If there was some story to it, I would like it a lot better! It just seems like a "Case by the episode" that goes on for a bit too long....with nothing actually happening as a result of them... |
