It's not what you want, I know, but it should be good enough if you have some layer two spikes underneath.
True, that isn't quite the idea I had in mind.
However, I figured that I'd scrap the possibility of having Mario get hurt or killed if he stood still upon entering the room.
No matter, with the spiked floor higher now, I believe it will work fine now despite the changed start of the level, thanks.

Hi.
Just wondering, but in a level in SMW with Layer 2 (level, assume one of the Layer 2 Scroll commands is used), how can you make a floor near the bottom of the screen rise first, then fall back down to where it started?
The reason I ask this is b/c I have made a room in a castle with a spiked floor that is supposed to rise as soon as Mario enters the room (forcing him to move or get hurt/lose a life, b/c it is meant to come up underneath his starting spot, "covering" it).
Unfortunately for me, the spiked floor moves down first.
Is there a way I can make it move up first?
Thanks in advance. |
