Oh, I'm sure Austin was in a car accident... Vince told him the news while he was driving and he ran his truck off the road. XD

On the plus side, it looks like the Coach as PBP guy experiment has failed miserably. Joey Styles worked Taboo Tuesday tonight and WWE's trying to sign him to at least a short-term deal.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

I'm SHOCKED that the initial plan for Austin/Coach was ANYTHING other than "Austin wins, JR is back part 873".

SHOCKED.

Today's date November 1 2005. Taboo Tuesday is here. I will watch it.

Yeah, GOOD job voting for Christian.

Christian (Jay Reso) quit WWE at the Smackdown tapings last night. What happened was that last week at the SD tapings, he was given a new contract and told to sign it right away. Being smart, he didn't, and decided to quit instead of being forced to sign a new deal which I'd guess would just be an extension of his old one. He showed up at the tapings last night and wrestled in a tag match (Rey/Matt vs. JBL/Christian), is at RAW tonight and will be at Taboo Tuesday if needed, but odds are they'll just exclude him from the voting if for some reason he finishes in the top two. He's doing the extra dates to be professional, but what happens from here is anyone's guess. Depending on the terms of the contract (in other words, if it simply expired), my guess is that he could be heading to TNA soon if the 90-day no-compete clause doesn't apply.

EDIT (10:10 PM): And now the proverbial crap has HIT THE FAN.

Steve Austin was told he was going to be doing the job to Coach on Tuesday, refused to (and rightly so in my opinion), so now that match is cancelled and I have no idea what's going on with him now. They had to quickly revamp the booking, so now it's going to be Batista vs. Coach, with his new bodyguards Goldust and Vader. I'm not making that up. As well, Torrie Wilson was either fired or released or something.

I think that the locker room is in pandemonium right now.

I voted for Kane for the main event. I gave a submission match to Flair.

I voted "debate" for SCSA vs Coach. Let's face it, Coach cannot put on a match, so a debate would probably be the most interesting thing to watch (both men have mic skills), and will certainly end in a stunner.

I voted for Cactus Jack mostly because the other two gimmicks are just goofy.

I voted for Christian, and would have voted for Matt Hardy after that. Rey always puts on the same damn match, JBL has no ring skills, and I have never liked Holly.

I am completely uninterested in the Eugene match. I voted for Jake, but would have prefered the option of Dibiase.

I voted for leather. We have seen the other two. I would prefer the option of a real match though. I mourn the death of the women's division.

While there is no option for the tag team match, the two guys who I did not vote for the main event would actually make the best pairing, IMO.

I haven't seen dude love at all. So I had to see him. Steel cage for HHH vs. Flair, Rey for Smackdown vs. Raw, Lace for the Diva Battle Royal, and Kane against Cena and Angle.

I also voted for the Street fight. What about you.

It was screwey. So Booker T knew all along that Sharmell helped him out? Midgets screwing Simon Deen (I'm new to this forum, but not to WWE)? You know, ever since that network guy came along, he is really making Smackdown so much more family-like. RAW this Monday is supposed to be wierd: Shawn vs. Cena and John Coachman calling out Stone Cold. Heh, I gotta vote for the street fight for Coach and Austin.

Exactly. Hell, maybe that was the plan for Nash but I kinda doubt it.

Meanwhile, Jerry Jarrett (Jeff's dad, original founder of TNA) caused a stir today when he showed up at WWE's offices; and of course, WWE.com had all the info. XD Looks like he might be jumping ship.

Yeah, general sentiment seems to be that Jarrett was never really supposed to drop the title in the first place, but they moved stuff around, wanted to send the fans home happy, etc.

Reboot was obvious thanks to Nash suffering his... erm... whatever the hell kind of health scare he had. Heart or otherwise. :\

At least they seemed to have done Ultimate X *RIGHT* this time.

Hm... the ROH card this weekend is singles-heavy but no matches that I'd describe as "horrid". I would fake sickness.

Actually, they've said it's okay if I skip the carving.

Oh, and lookit the ¡mpact! taping results. REBOOT!

That's what I'd read, but some of the matches might've been compressed for time purposes. How'd they get out of Nash being in the hospital? Added a 10-man gauntlet match for the title shot, which Rhino won, then he immediately faced Jarrett. GORE! GORE! GORE! New champeen.

In other news, I'm currently scheduled to carve pumpkins with my girlfriend and her friends this Saturday. Which is also when Ring of Honor comes up to the New Haven area. Missed 'em the last time, and they'll be bringing AJ Styles and Alex Shelley with 'em this time. What do you do?

PPV didn't sound that hot sadly. :\ It wasn't BAD (probably still killed No Mercy) but certainly not the AWESOME PPV that the company wanted.

Non-WWE, but we talk of all wrasslin' here.

TNA's got a PPV tonight, including the return of Monster's Ball. Abyss v. Jeff Hardy v. Sabu v. Rhino, all four competitors locked in separate rooms for 24 hours before the match, no food, no light, no sleep.

Last night, in the main event on ¡mpact!, Abyss teamed with Jeff Jarrett and Monty Brown against Hardy, AJ Styles, and Lance Hoyt.

One of these things does not work with the other. Speaking of not working, Kevin Nash won't be able to, as he's kind of hospitalized right now. Ergo, Jeff Jarrett will defend the title, but the challenger hasn't been named yet. HERE is your new card:

* Jeff Jarrett (c) vs. ???? - Guest Ref: Tito Ortiz - NWA Title
* AJ Styles (c) vs. Christopher Daniels - 30 Minute Iron Man Match - X Division Title
* Abyss (w/ James Mitchell) vs. Rhino vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Sabu - Monster's Ball 2
* America's Most Wanted (c) vs. The Naturals - NWA Tag Team Titles
* Chris Sabin vs. Matt Bentley vs. Petey Williams - Ultimate X - #1 Contender for the X Title
* Samoa Joe vs. Jushin 'Thunder' Liger
* Lance Hoyt vs. Monty Brown
* Team Canada (Eric Young, Bobby Roode, & A1) vs. 3 Live Kru
* Sonjay Dutt vs. Austin Aries vs. Alex Shelley vs. Roderick Strong - X Division 4-Way
* Diamonds in the Rough vs. Sonny Siaki, Apolo, & Shark Boy

Taboo Tuesday match that was announced...

Edge/Chris Masters vs. winners of fan voting from Smackdown.

The five choices are Rey Misterio, JBL, Matt Hardy, Hardcore Holly and Christian. If I had to vote, I'd go with Rey and Matt personally (which is what I'm thinking they'd want the fans to vote so they might try to influence the vote somehow by possibly having them invade on RAW) but we'll see.

I hope the Smackdown Superstars invade RAW. That would be so sweet. Reminds me of Smackdown vs. RAW video game from PS2.

Smackdown's still Smackdown. The move from Thursday to Friday doesn't change its quality at all. SD used to be REALLY good back when the brand change first took place and they had more of the talent, but then most people switched off to RAW and the product suffered as a result.
