Well I have hex workshop, corruptster, and an emulator out, and that's about all I need.

Note: I don't graphics hack, so please don't ask me about graphics..

I'm still a newbie at hacking so. All I use is Tile layer pro. uh SNES sprite editor. Stake (A castlevania specific editor). Bout all I know how to use now. I hope to expand on stuff later tho.

Curious. what does a pokemon hacker hack? Add new pokemon? new levels? text changes? what?

It all depends on what I'm doing...
UltraEdit-32 serves all of my hex-editing needs.
FCEUd is useful for NES debugging (but it still lacks some useful features)
Genesis: GENS (haven't used it much yet, so I can't give much of an opinion )

Other than that, it's all game and purpose specific....

FCE Ultra Debug (merely for PPU viewing, I'm not an asm hacker)
FFHackster
YY-CHR
MS Paint

And I almost always have mIRC and Winamp on too.

For certain games, I use different things. But for your practical hacking job (Kirby's Adventure right now) I am using:

Hex Workshop (I used to use Sniper Hex, but boycotted that after a little "incident"), TLP, YY-CHR (I switch depending on the mood I'm in ), FCEUD, Corrupster, Notepad (gotta take notes), and occasionally C++ (editor in works, but I'm still learning C++ ). So, yea, that's about it.

Depends what I'm hacking. Usually Hex Workshop, Notepad, Calculator, and an emulator (NO$GMB for GB, ZSnes for SNES, FCEUd for NES, PJ64 for N64, VBA for GBA), plus any specific editors for the game.
