If you load a Save State, the .srm will get changed to what ever the Save State's current position in the game is. Lets just say that File 1 (even File 2 or 3, or all three of them) was at 90 percent when you Saved the Game (by beating a castle, ghosthouse, etc.), and then you Saved a SaveState on say, Slot 6. Then if you were to load another SaveState from when you only had 65 Percent, the .srm would now be at 65 Percent, even if you open the Rom again (or resets it). So in other words, you just lost 25 Percent of the levels that were beaten, but since you still have your Save State on Slot 6, which is at 90 Percent, you can load it and you .srm will now be saved back at 90 Percent again. You can also use this method to increase the amount of gameplay that you've done (obviously). And if you want to get rid of the SaveState from there on, then just delete it from the folder that your game is in (I know you already know how to do that part, I'm just putting it here for anyone who might not know how to). |

Yeah, in the same folder your patched mario game is, there is also a file with an extension of .srm. Thats what I want. |

Use some of the debug options to cheat your way through the game. |
