"I was hoping something like this wouldn't happen, but I guess it wouldn't have been fun without him having a weapon. Well Callean I can assume what the hammer can do and I think I will avoid it."

Dracoonx4 charged Callean and at the last second used his dash boots to boost him up and over. Half way through the jump Dracoonx4 did a half flip and thrusted the sword down. Dracoonx4 did this move on blind faith of agility hoping that the sword would be able to balance him if it was a hit, but if it missed he also knew that he would land on the ground without much hope for any defence.

Beginning to weave his hands about one another in an arcane gesture, Callean cryptically replied, "The knight calls upon his Lord to light the path."

Immediately, a gleaming hammer materialized in front of him. The weapon floated silently, awaiting the firm grip of a master. Callean replaced his dagger on his belt and wrapped his fingers around the holy bludgeon's warm handle.

The contact seemed to excite the weapon. Its glow intensified, the very metal pulsating. Callean brought it to bear with such little effort that he might as well have been holding a beam of pure light.

Dracoonx4's energy sword started making crazy sounds and blew up. Dracoonx4 grabbed the sword at his feet and switched his gun into a hand mode. He used both his hands on the sword, but something was wrong with his right arm.

"That hurt me more than you. At least I have a proper weapon."

Dracoonx4 slowly approached Callean looking for any opening or even a weak point.

The paladin's resolve was strong, but this standoff was a battle he could not win. He finally surrendered to the pressure, Dracoon's strength overpowering even his own ample muscle. Callean minimized his losses, falling back in a reverse somesault but losing his weapon in the process.

His longsword sat inches in front of his opponent, and he had little hope to immediately retrieve it. Striving to remain confident, Callean did not even flinch as he casually drew...a dagger. Indeed, all that remained on his belt was the simple implement, and he looked rather silly with a great shield and diminuitive knife.

Again the two warriors were locked in combat. Dracoonx4 being pushed back, because he had only a little balance to go on. The energy sword was under extreme stress and seemed to be weakening.

"You are strong; both mentally and phyically, but every thing has a limit espeacilly humans!"

Dracoonx4's gun kicked back on and he fired it behind him with his sword still battling against Callean's. The boost from the sudden blast uprighted him and sent him forward to start making a screaching sound as the sword continued being under the massive stress.

"You are right," Callean replied. At that moment, the paladin ducked down and sidestepped from under the pressure of his opponenet's sword. Dracoon fell forward, off balance from the power he'd been applying to his now-free blade. "We must seek out they who seek to harm us."

The paladin joined the attack once more, trying to use his adversary's position as an advantage. Callean came in hard with his shield, holding nothing back.

Surprised by the sudden movement, Dracoonx4 parried the attack and the blades locked together. Dracoonx4 held his blade with all his might.

"That is nobel, but just protecting can't always be the right answer."

Dracoonx4 started using his dash boots to apply more pressure on Callean's sword.

"It's not too heavy," Callean replied, shaking off the ringing in his head. "But it is given more to defending. We of my order are not an agressive group," he said, jabbing weakly. "We fight to defend ourselves and those whom we cherish." As if that thought brought strength to him, the paladin lept forward and swung, controlled and powerful.

Instead of trying to parry the attacks Dracoonx4 dodged and got as close as he could. Then he hit Callean's helmet, which caused a loud noise in and out side of the helmet.

"I thought your armor was too heavy to have to attack."

Dracoonx4 jumped back and took up a slightly different stance sword held straight up.

The paladin was taken aback by Dracoon's insight. It was Callean's general method to avoid offensive action, and to force him into such a path was clever indeed!

Trained with a blade but truly quite clumsy when compelled to attack, the knight moved conservatively about his target. He had no desire to match steel in a clash that would tire him too quickly, so he stabbed twice and intended to retreat several steps when given the chance.

Dracoonx4 switched his gun to shot-gun mode, then remembered that it wasn't working. So he focused on his sword and thought,

(What can I do? If I keep attacking like this I will run out of energy, but if I let up I might be in bad shape since his armor can block most attacks.)

"I got it!"

Dracoonx4 held his sword out in a counter stance waiting for his opponet to attack.

And so it was a stalemate, albeit a temporary one. Safe in the knowledge that his opponent was still seconds away from being prepared to launch another attack, Callean brought a hand to his shoulder to check for blood.

There was none, but the mere poke shot awful sensations up and down the paladin's arm. He hoped for little more than a bruise, but could not stop to apply medicine at this point in any case; his opponent looked prepared to strike.

The attack may have been sucsefull, but even Dracoonx4's energy sword transfered vibrations. Dracoonx4 nearly fell down as the vibrations shook his entire body

"Geez I didn't expect this."

Dracoonx4 did manage to regain his stance, but he was a little shaken up after the attack.

Hardly recovered from his full-speed charge, Callean could raise no defense whatsoever. He was hit heavily on the shoulder, the force of the blow nearly making him swoon.

Callean's steel epaulets were effective against most stationary attacks, but the jumping slash cleanly clove the metal. A neatly-cut piece fell from the knight's armor, having sacrificed itself to prevent any lasting harm to its wearer.

A little surprised by a sudden retaliation Dracoonx4 tried to block with his gun arm. The sword strike made it fire, but it completely missed.

"I can't believe this."

The gun stopped working again, but the sword started again. As a counter measure Dracoonx4 jump slashed Callean.

The paladin panicked at the thought of being blasted by the firearm, and he charged ferociously. Sword in the air and a hearty battlecry at his lips, Callean slashed and sliced with his full momentum.

Dracoonx4's gun kick on suddenly releasing a blast into the air above Callean's head.

"Good now I just have to wait for my sword."

Dracoonx4 jumped back and started charging his gun. He also changed his gnu mode to shot gun and was ready to fire as soon as it was done charging.

Callean was indeed stalled. The weaponless strikes did little harm, but effort needed to be put into defending against them anyway. The paladin easily turned aside his opponent's offensive, but found himself without a spare second to attack in kind.

Dracoonx4 jumped back as he saw his energy sword losing power.

"No way, my energy sword is useless now too. I guess a good old kick to the face will have to do!"

Dracoonx4 lept back at Callean punching and kicking (mainly the shield) wildly trying to stall Callean.

The knight had little hope of parrying each blow, so he instead simply raised his shield and gradually stepped backwards as the onslaught continued. Nonetheless, several attacks penetrated the defense, and Callean saw a significant amount of blood slip through the gaps in his armor and soak his surcoat.
