Yoou have got to be kidding. You have all of the data?

I just now found hte locations for 1 through 49... argh.

I still don't know everything about the format either, but enough to edit levels...

[Levels.dat 0.49 coming soon]

Well I don't know where any of the data is either...the format looks almost simple, but right now I doubt I would have time to attempt an editor. It also looks like there might be a table like in Joshua defining the room data pointers.

I'd recommend C++ or Delphi over Visual Basic ANY day

Editors are good, but I won't use this one. I'm not interested in console apps.

Yeah, Delphi is a pretty powerful language and it doesn't need any OCX. The real big problem about VB to me isn't the lack of super high speed (it's fast enough for me) just those DAMN OCX files.

All I wonder, does it works in Win XP? I could test the combitality for you if you don't know...

Actually no one's asked me that

And I can't do a winders version, no programming knowledge about anything and no things [C++ thing, VB, etc]

I had an old VB3 but, um, no.

I could probably whip up a windows editor for Crystal Mines if I wanted to in like 3 weeks...maybe I should get started now!!!

If you are wondering I am planning to redo alot of the DOS editors into windows eventually.

Oof... yeah, I was digging through a box of old disks that I found around here, and pulled out a C++ compiler... and I'm pretty sure we have VB3 here somewhere... Don't know how well it'd run, though.

Hm, it's a fun editor, I'd probably make a CM hack if it had a bit more features...

Don't bother, there's no link here. In a while I'll put one up, but I want your opinion on this.
