"Iggy looks different, other than that, no apparent changes here."

That isn't Iggy, that's Larry. Larry is now the boss of world 1 instead of Iggy.

"Is 'plains' supposed to refer to the fact that it's very plain? Needs some texture to it."

That's the place in Superstar Saga that is surrounding Beanbean Castle. I probably wouldn't want to add much texture to that, if any at all.

Good... but a rock floating?

Hmm, it's okay. Darken the BG, please!

We've seen this

Use a variety of tiles... like I did in Giza Plains

Good use of my ExGFX. The bushes are supposed to be spotted.

It's okay.

Well, what do you think of the new shots?
Overall, I'd say you've got a LOT better than you were at the time of UMW.

Nice graphics. The mushroom looks w00t. That green bit beside it seems out of place, though,

Best. ExGFX. EVER.

My eyes! The BG is burning my retina! Nice lava though.

Iggy looks different, other than that, no apparent changes here.

The BG looks NESish in a bad way, the continue gate is messed up, and the bush has multicoloured spots. The rest is great.

Where have I seen these GFX before? Careful, Mario, don't cut your foot!

Nice graphics and palette (I used one like that in a bonus level, it makes me hungry ). I suggest, though, that you arrange the words as they are in the original:
    ULTRA
MARIO WORLD
      2
It looks crowded the way it is. Maybe shrink the 2 a bit too, and move the diagonal of the R to below the circle.

I've uploaded some new screenshots, which I'll put in the first post in about 1 minute. When I do, what do you think?

*EDIT* Ready to go!

Use an externial tile editor. At the boss levels (with a few exeptions), there graphics used during the boss fights aren't the same as shown in LM. (This is not a bug in LM. It's how the bosses are programmed.)

I'm not sure how copyrights officially work, but I *think* you can just slap a © on something and call it copyrighted, as long as it's all original work, and you can prove that you're the author. I usually specify which stuff is copyrighted by whom in my READMEs, since putting ©2004 RUSTED ROM HACKS on the title screen implies that I copyrighted the whole thing, which is obviously not true. Something like "New Graphics, Levels, and Code ©2004 BMF54123; Original Program and Audiovisuals ©1990, 1991 Nintendo" is usually sufficient.

...of course, since hacks are kind of a legal gray area anyway, I doubt any of the above really matters.

I don't see any new PMs. Are you sending them to me later?

You'd be better off using the old title screen... those letters are just plain ugly...

EDIT: SMWExpert, check your PMs.

You should probably say who it's copyrighted to. Anyone could just come up and say it belonged to them.

Incidentally, are there any hacks that actually have backings to their copyrights? I mean, has anyone ever actually copyrighted their hack?

New title screen!

I used some of the in-game graphics and inserted more as well. Unfortunately there's nothing I can do about the sguiggly edges to the r and d.

I finished the green switch palace, finally. Now I need to work on Hoohoo Mountain 3 and then the castle.

Yeah that doesn't surprise me, I don't say much worthwhile anyway. You didn't have to liken me to a moron, though.

Kyouji, I don't have enough time to please every moron who has an idea about how my hack should be, nor would I want to either. I didn't copy anything directly from SS except the background for Beanbean Castle.

About the hack itself, I'm almost finished with Hoohoo Mountain, just need to put some finishing touches on the castle.

You will all also like the new look to the switch palaces.

You probably need to scrap every level in your hack and start over.

You know, there's something I've failed to mention in all of your threads on this, but, I don't think I can keep silent anymore.

... You probably need to scrap every level in your hack and start over.

That's the problem; Though Mario games as a rule typically take place in the same area, geography is quite different throughout games. If you use everything already in BeanBean Kingdom, well, it'll ruin the effect. Now, I'm not saying what you've done is unuseable, the theme is admittedly quite good, just... Copying locales from Superstar Saga isn't the greatest idea

But on the other hand, you can probably just ignore me, people tend to anyway.

Glad to see that someone is actually using some of my graphics. I hope you made use of more of the tiles than just the pipes, but even if you didn't, it's still nice.

Comments: Look good!

The level design seems interesting and, for once, not uber-hard.
