i rented it, and I got tired of it by the end of the first battle...

its just :
shoot run missles
shoot run missles
missles missles
misslesmissles

recover health
missles missles
missles
shoot shoot shoot
shoot shoot shoot
shoot shoot shoot
enemey recovers
*repeat*

its nothing special, customization? hmm.. what mech game dosent have that now?
and the graphics are sub-par

the charaters talk in voice bubbles, even when you see them right in front of you, they are not opening their mouths or anything .

Hmm, I'll have to pursuade TheKram to pick this one up, for a rent at least.

There's nothing quite like robots beating the hell out of each other.

I want the two N64 games...but it is a rarity to find given the size of the game

anyways, it really looks interesting and i will play the GBA version someday

I've heard mixed things... How repetative do the battles get, and how much difference does customising your robot make?

Also, yes, I heard you do need to unlock being able to fight against the computer. I think you need to work your way through the plot a good way until you can do that.

I would probably flip over a game like this, say, 2 years ago. Sadly, my game choices have been watered down by the temptation of online play.

However, if it's that good, I just might try it...

This game kicks ass.

Obviously there's a lot of customization going on here.

Over 50 guns, 30+ bomb attachments, 30+ Pods, and over 15 different legs to choose from. I just got myself a flame thrower and I've been liking that one.

Anyway, the story thus far is somewhat lighthearted but it's beginning to take a turn. What really sets it apart from other games is the hilarious dialouge and the funny-as-hell avatars for certain characters/moods.

The only problem I have with this game is that you can't just battle whenever you want to. Not where I am at anyway. I really really want to just fight right now but it picks your battles for you. I can't even find a training mode. I guess you have to unlock 1player vs. Comp because that's not an option yet for some reason.

But the actual battling is very fun. You fight in this virtual battleground called a Holossium. There's obstacles that you can use to take cover and you can also destroy them if needs be.

You can get more than one Robo frame but I've been sticking with the first one I got throughout the whole game so far.

Anyway, if you like mech/robot type games, or even just mech/robots then you should definitely check out this game. It's a lot of fun and I can only imagine the hours of entertainment that could come along with multiplayer which is an option. There's even tag-team style battles along with 2 vs. 2 simultaneous.
