I liked the comments made after the decision, branding Russia as a bunch of cheats.

If it's any consolation, I'll predict they go 0-3 in the group stage and get pounded by Spain. Maybe by 5 or 6 goals.

Funny fact about the three of us that have posted in the thread...

Wales, Norway, Canada. Wales plays both Norway and Canada at the end of the month.

Denmark was a bit more different though - the fact that Yugoslavia was in turmoil *KINDA* made it hard to allow them to send a competitive team.

Well, I don't know. I don't see it happening, they may have handed in the complaint, but I'm pretty sure it won't have no effect.

Of course, if y'all do get in, then statistics show that you should, as other teams who have been given a late entry due to the forfit of other teams, win the whole thing (Denmark '92).

I'd LOVE to see Wales in the tournament, Elmo... But I don't know. This is really an icky case from all I've read.

I think if he was ineligible, then it should be a 3-0 default win to Wales... But wasn't he out for one of the matches?

Ok, so Wales were playing Russia in a Euro 2004 qualifying match last year and they lose but it turns out that one of the Russian defenders was on steroids at the time. The Welsh FA are appealing and the results will be known tomorrow, but what do you guys think? Should Russia be kicked out of the tournament and Wales go in their place?
