Genesis with both Sega CD and 32X attached. The 32X makes things even tougher.

There all pretty much the same except for the older ones, x box was the heaviest though so I'll go with that

Ehehe... I've got the same kind of situation. Genesis and Sega CD, both the first versions, only the RF adaptor seems to be missing a connection, and I forgot to get the AC adaptor. At least I have one of each from another Genesis I got from a different thrift store, but I don't know how many of each I'll need.

The hardest one for me has been the Genesis. It is easy for me now, but it used to be hard for me to hook it up.

Wow... I'll keep that in mind. Even... though... I don't have a nintendo console ...

Though, if all goes to plan, I should be getting a GC for my birthday, which is in just over 2 weeks!

An interesting note is you actually DON'T have to use the RF cord for the SNES. If you've got an N64 or a Gamecube, you can use the S-Video cable from either of them on the SNES. Yes, that's right - Nintendo made the smart move of using the same S-Video cable for years on end.

Sega Megadrive (Genesis for you americans ), Playstation... any console that hooks up with an RF cable is a bitch to hook up...

I prefer the newer consoles which you plug into the back of your TV with a scart lead... THat way you don't need to fart around with the arial too .

It's not like your head has any contents, so that should make lifting the X-Box a little easier.

Really, they're all easy to hook up unless you're plain stupid.
Ziff, look at what you're saying.

OF COURSE TIKAL IS FUCKING STUPID! Permabanned for Acmlm's board for insulting staff, thinking Manda was an admin, thinking Anya wasn't, and the mindnumbing STUPIDITY!

In conclusion: None are difficult to hook up. I never had problems with ANY - the only thing that I didn't like was that the Atari had a manual R/F switch and you had to switch that before you could use it. But that's not hard, just a PITA.

A Gameboy. Seriously, I never found anything hard to hook up. I guess the worst of what I have is the Sega Genesis, since you gotta twist the cable until you find the right alignment (or just look ).

I would consider my computer, considering that I turned it INTO a console. But if you want to count actual consoles, I would have to say Genesis with the Sega CD on it. Now I don't have a Turbo Grafx 16 so I can't choose that. But that is the hardest. I don't find it to be as hard as brain surgery. But given my choices that would be it.

As for plugging in my computer to play as a console (and it even LOOKS like one too), it is a bit of a pain due to the way I have it setup. I had to plug a sound cable (white and red) into the video to make it work cause I didn't have the video cable (yellow). I didn't realize at first that the cable is the same no matter what but it is HOW you plug it in that matters. Red and white cables can go into the yellow slot as long as the other side that it is pluged into is yellow. I also had it plugged into the selector switch so that I can switch from PC to GC at will. The problem with the TV though is that it is hard to see Windows, but once it is playing a game, it is playing really nice, and with a Thrustmaster Firestorm gamepad, it feels like a console. Nothing like playing my PSX on TV or playing Final Fantasy XI on TV like it was the PS2 version. Though it is highly advised to play PC games at 640x480. Emulated games are fine, but the PC games will make the resized things on screen hard to read due to the scanline setup.

most people nowadays have TVs with AV ports so I don't think Nintendo, nor any other system for that matter, will package RF adapters with consoles anymore...

anyways, i really don't have any trouble with any consoles since i have decent inituition about electronics

The trickiest Part is still, to connect a S-VHS plug. But the quality is great. (Heh, even the SNES features S-VHS Output! (the PAL-one at least, beat that! Sega!)

And one hard part is to find the right channel if you use a RF-Switch.

It isn't really that hard to hook up RF adapters at all, mostly because I'm used to it, but since my TV isn't equipped with a audio/video connector jack, I would think that the RF is easier to plug in. Nintendo should really consider bundling the RF adapters with their consoles, that would make some things alot easier.

I'm just comparing it to all other systems, it's the heaviest I've seen.

Does GBA count? It can get a little rough inserting those batteries.

NES, for it is required to use those damn RF switches. ._.

it's not that it's hard to set up in general, but the way my TV is positioned, is just that its next to impossible to get behind it (the connections are all fed behind a desk, up BEHIND the tv, which is on an angel in a corner, and into this Red-yellow-whit to r/f converter thingy)

I dont think there is a system thats hard to hook up to a tv, right now, the xbox, ps2, and cube are practically hooked up with the same cord, except the power cords(got a universal RF swtich...) which can also hookup snes, and nes...

Uhh.. all mine were pretty easy to hook up. No system is really hard to hook up or whatever, unless you're an idiot or something, like already mentioned
