It's nice to see you using mostly SMW graphics, and if not, ripped graphics from other Mario games. I do use some ExGFX, but mostly the original stuff (mainly because I suck at drawing). |

tnx. i would have to learn asm ( ), since a lot of smb3 hacks have asm. my smb3 probably would be crappy, but i guess ill try it when i finish my smw hack |

ok, i'll try to do a hand drawn one that fits better w/ the smw theme

The ladders look uncreative... they're just white lines... And the conveyor belt still sucks, sorry.
thanks for pointing that. since i dont use the midway taspes in my hack (i use another tile to make the mid point ), i changed its gfx in yy to make it look like ladder. Now I'm thinking on putting the ladders from smb2, is it a better idea?

I like this pic. Nothing seems to be too terribly wrong with it. It all fits together very well. And I will assume those shapes are Magikoopa magic?
yes, they are but they are stopped magic, there arent magikoopas in this level, just the magic sprite itself

I see you made the blocks frown... interesting. A comment on level design though: water arranged like that just doesn't work. Sorry, but it doesn't. Maybe if you had little strands of water like DD did in that one world 2 time bomb level, then yea, but it just doesn't look right the way you have it
ok, i'll take off those water tiles tnks for pointing it

I like this for the most part, but I think you could have a better background to go with the castle.
that would be the top of the castle, outside of the castle. maybe w/ some goomba pillars i used in troopa hills it'd be cool

thanks i always liked the beetles from smb3 better

A sideways Lakitu throwing crap? Original. Could work. I'd have to see it in action though to determine that. And those plants better be about ready to shoot out stuff, because otherwise that's some useless crap you have there.
tnks there will be a few levels in the 4th world that will feature this guy i didnt have to sacrifice the hammer brother, i made 3 bin files to make it in exgfx

All in all this SMB2 theme looks nice, although that bush in the bottom left needs to be made into something else... it may be green, but it is a clash of art styles... might look kinda strange..
ok, tnks for pointing this too

That grassy stump thing or whatever the hell that is looks like crap. Get rid of it.
ok, i never liked that grassy too much too, i'll put it brown to fit better w/ the wood theme (this level is in a forest world)

Other than the fact that sticking a dead log in the middle of a bunch of blocks like that one in the top left looks weird, this looks nice.
thanks

Those blocks look... shiny. They could be a bit different.
it was to give it a muddy effect, coz it is in the forest world too

In fact i used some complex ASM to discover the sma2 code and insert the palete effect into smw, it was a bore and complicated, but worked.........
joking, i dont know asm the image was taken in zsnes, that wahy.
i dont know if this hapen in all computers, but i realized that if i change a bmp image took in zsnes to png in paint, the image does not turn too bright. This is what i did in all screens except the last one.
On the other hand, if i take the snapshot in png directly in zsnes (waht i did in the last shot), they are bright. it seems that in my comp zsnes cuts off some of the pic's quality in png

no worry
i dint sacrifice any sprites in my game, i just made exgfx for it. if i want some enemies from the castle set plus the cave one, i just change the enemies i want to use creating, then, a bin file to use as exgfx. but the original enemies are still 'alive'

Originally posted by Smallhacker Give those poor vines an end. It looks kinda wierd. Also, look at Rex. What's that green line doing there? The pipe pallettes looks kinda wrong too...
the paletes were made on porpuse to give the level a muddy effect, the water was a bit green too, since this is a level deep in the forest.

Nice! The conveyor belts looks kinda off, though.
Really nice!
The water looks kinda wierd. IF you have to do like that, then give it a reason to be like that (like a force field)
Nice! A castle themed background would make them better.
Nice Hammer Brother!
Neat! Three things looks kinda off, though. 1: The mini piranha plants (forgot their real name) 2: The pipes 3: The SMB bush
Looking nice, exept for the green logs in the third shot.

VERY nice... Only a few things mentioned in the above posts that need to be fixed.
I particularly like the shot that comes after the SMB2 tileset shot. |

That water was the only thing that I reacted on thought, but maybe if you could make it into a waterfall or something? |
