Well the level system wasn't based on melons, it was based on "big hearts". More "big hearts" you collect then more levels can you play in the next world. There is three big hearts per level.

But yes YI is more fun, I would like to see a Yoshi style game again. But with the old "throwing egg system".

I didn't like Yoshi's Story too. There might be nice effects like these sword egdes/blades in one level, but on the other hand there simply is not much change or that genius level design. The egg shots didn't reflect when hitting a wall like in Yoshi's Island, so a nice strategic element already was killed
Then there is no much other thing what Ailure mentioned. The orderr of levels and the levels themselves you play depend how many melons you sniffed and found. This is usually not that bad, but in comparison to the simple but ass-kicking 100 points level-system in YI, this is worth far less
Once you saw every level in Yoshi's Story, there's pretty not much to do left ... except the bonus Yoshis the game will rest in the cupboard forever, unlike Yoshi's Island where its really beautiful level-design and replay value made it playing it later again

The castles aren't that hard, but they hard if your collecting every melon. (as I said earlier )

But I prefer Yoshi island thought. More fun.

Yoshi's story, I remember playing that years ago, I kinda liked it for awhile, until my litle brother starting playing it non stop, he was like 4 or 5 then, and he got better at the game then I did he played it so much, but really, if you dont play it, your not really missing anything really great, although it can be fun for awhile...

Of course, I have gotten every melon on every level. So yes I have found them. I tend to only use them after I get them.

That's how I play that game, every time. I just collect every melon...

Have you gotten the Black or Gray Yoshis before?

Bastard! Do you realize what you have done? Now I will have Yoshis singing in my head for fricking ever!

On a different note, the game is actually kinda good... kiddish, but good. I like the non-linearity... you may only have 6 levels, but you get to choose which one you go to each time based on the fruits you get. And you gotta love the Bowser's Castle music. (Isn't that a rip from the Nutcracker?)

But if he have no N64?

Of course he can rent that to.

You never know, he maybe even did have the game for N64. He mayb just want to also play it on his PC.

Or you can make your own emulator that runs it at fool full speed! It would only take a year or two to program!

He probably want to try out Yoshi story quick as possible. :p

Yoshi story glitchy on some emulators? I thought that 2D games would run quite well on most N64 emulators.

Can anyone tell me how to make this game playable? Emulators, plugins, settings, etc.

Thanks, and this is urgent.
