Its still there and I have uploaded the version with the working intro video. And I know its kind of glitchy. I have created 2 more levels, and from now on when I upload a version it will be locked.

KK Craw it should work now (its a freewebs so if your server or comp or whatever doesn't really like of support it i will post a link.

Your just way way way to good at hacking this game FuSoYa. I figured it out I had the time bypassed like you said and it only gave me 66 seconds which explains why I died at the same area both times when I recorded the video. I have gotten my intro done and am uploading my IPS to my site now.


Has anyone downloaded my hack yet? If so what do you think? and is there anything I should change. I know its not done and the events are a bit screwy but I'm still in the process.

Set the time limit to zero (or any other x00 value). Apparently, Nintendo sets the hundreds digit of the time limit to zero for the demo. Useful for forcing any normal level to have infinite time I suppose, unless of course you've bypassed the regular time limit settings to have a non-x00 time limit, giving you only 0xx time.

Yes I have checked the time limit and it was set to 666 WAY MORE THAN ENOUGH TIME BEFORE THE "DEATH SPOT".

Anyway i recorded it again and still mario died at about the same spot but this time he was farther over so I have ruled out that the spot he gets killed at is the boarder of a screen.

Yes, the level time limit is still active in the demo. It's set to zero (infinite) in the original, so normally it won't run out. But I seem to remember someone ran into a problem where Yoshi would eat a green berry in the demo (adding 20 to the time, making it non-infinite), and then Mario would get killed when the time ran out.

I don't think it's in the help file.

You mean, the time limit is still in effect for the demo? News to me, but I'll feel like a real jackass if it turns out it is listed in the help file somewhere.

....isn't that a bit long? That might be part of your problem right there. Try making it no longer than DW:TLC's... and that was on an expanded rom, too.

Intro level consists of 919 objects and 2 of them are spirits (not including mario and Yoshi). It is a vertical level with trees, ground, and the 'forest ledges'. Is there a glitch in LM or SMW that will not allow a vertical intro level?

If you have like 100000 sprites in your intro level, then it might be glitchy.

I just did a new intro video for my hack (its a vertical level video) , I thought it was good IMO because of what I had to do, but when I saved it put it into my hack and watched it, I got about 4-6 screens up and I just died!!! Out of no where! there was no ememies, none even in the level, mario just fell of the screen like he was hit by something. I am 120% sure that nothing hit me. Anyway my question is has this happened to anyone else and can I fix it??
