I have the same problem with StyleXP. Occasionally it'll work, but usually it reverts to Classic. I end up having to apply another theme, then the old one again, which sucks because I then have to reset titlebar sizes, backgrounds, etc. This happens whether or not I have StyleXP set to auto-startup, so it's probably a Windoze thing.

Uhm, 1.010000. I cracked it, so I dunno how hard it'll be to reinstall, but whatever. I'd rather not use it at all, but it's how I got uxtheme.dll patched up.

Maybe reinstall Style Xp.
I had the same problem, too, but I installed Win98 again, because XP sucks on my comp and I don't know why.
BTW: Which version of Style Xp do you have?

Whenever I shut down, then boot my comp (WinXP Pro), my theme keeps reverting to the Windows Classic style of buttons. I'm using a different layout called Simplicity, which is in a different theme file. By that, I mean I have a file called "Mine.theme" which has that layout, my wallpaper of choice, et cetera set. Windows loads that theme file, ignoring Simplicity and replacing it with Windows Classic. If I have it on standby or just reboot, it doesn't do this. I managed to get that to work by using Style XP, so I think it patched uxtheme.dll. Anyone know why it's doing this?
