Yeah, the first time I'd played, that happened to me (losing a key via overwriting). Thankfully, I saved the game to a different slot every time I beat a level, so I didn't have to start over too far back.

And yes, the last Bowser battles do whup ass in eleven languages. Although they're SO much easier when you have the proper equipment.

lol, ok ok ok! There's a code that will remove all the locks, so since you got all the keys already, you'll be able to remove the locks anyways (btw, I put in the manual a thing about items getting removed ).

DD LUBS ALL-
Down Down Left Up B Select A Left Left
A coin sound effect will play if done right. Just reset the game and all locks will be removed.

Enter this during a stage.

Oh, Mario Adventure works great in PocketNES. (The GBA Version).

Lol, where would I use it accept at the lock???? No, I didn't use it - I never had the chance.

Anyway, that really sucks if it is gone forever and I can never play world 8. I'm not going to go back and play the whole game over again!!!!

In the meantime, if you ever find a topic you might refer to later, just save it in your favorites.

Well... that's literally the only way anyone has EVER lost a key in that world

You sure you didn't like, USE it?

Nope, I waited a good twenty seconds.

DahrkDaiz, any thoughts?

10:1 odds you didn't wait long enough before going down the pipe after getting the world 1 key. That's the only world where that can happen I think. Go back, get the key, and then wait a bit... then go down the pipe, beat the level, beat the world, and move on.

Uh-oh. I'm using save states throughout the entire game, but now it seems I've lost my key. My inventory was full, and I got out of world 1 by beating the boss. Then, the whistle I got from that apparently replaced my key, and recollecting it won't put it back in my 'inventory' - what do I do??

I've got all the keys: all the key spots on the bottom of the screen are filled in, but no matter how many times I re-get the key from world 1, I can't get the key or get past the lock!

Yeah, MArio Adventure works on plenty of emulators. Chances are, if it didn't work on the emualtor you are not using a very good one.

Well, seems to me Mario Adventure works in most of the popular emulators, so...

anyway, thanks for the hints!

Oh, and just a heads up: the last Bowser battle is friggin AWESOME!

And the second to last is hell, and you may need to use one of the cheat codes on it... probably LUB DA DD will work there.

Ask an yee shall receive

Spoiler:

World 1: the middle level at the bottom. Right after a group of platforms that goes to a 1-Up, between the two hills to the right of these platforms is a hidden block that leads to the key.

World 2: The final level before the fortress when you take the high path at the 2nd split (to the right of a Mushroom house). At a point with a group of 3 wooden blocks (2 blocks wide each) with a fire boo flying around. On the middle platform, on the left block, jump straight up and hidden block will appear that leads to the key.

World 3: In the 4th level. Just after the chain chomp, there's a wall that ends just before it reaches the bottom of the screen. There's enough area there to swim under that wall that will lead to a pipe, which leads to the key.

World 4: In the level that's a remake of SMB1's 1-1. At the first cloud you see, on the right of that cloud is a hidden block. Using that block will take you to the same level with new enemies. At the end of this level is the key.

World 5: In the fortress level, collect all the coins. The last batch of coins is an arrow pointing left. Go back to the beginning of the stage and you'll see the door. Becareful since the platform under the door will fall if you're not fast enough.

World 6: In one of the levels before the Fortress (can't remember which) that contains rotating platforms. At the point with a large group of note blocks and a ? block. You must be small. If you are, jump on the ? block and go right. You should go through the wall. Follow the path to the pipe which leads to the key.

World 7: Use a whistle. It will take you to the level with the key in it.

And I apologize about the hack not working in every emu. I promise that the next SMB3 hack Im working does work in all emus. The code is much cleaner than before and I took precautions this time that probably caused problems in emus in the last hack.

Does this forum NOT have a seach feature or something??????

Anyway, is there anywhere in a forum or site that lists the locations of all the keys in Mario Adventure? I've beaten worlds 1-7 but haven't found the keys and am too lazy to spend 5 hours finding the keys.

BTW, this hack fucking rules.

Yeah, MA needs to work with NEStopia. It was kind of annoying to switch to FCEU just to play it... I value my autofire.
