You could make it a level that belongs to no world, like sunken ghost ship in the orginal.

Replace Bowser with Bowletta. That would be awesome.

READ THIS POST FROM PAGE 1.
Also, I am working on the overworld. It has areas from the ol' Saga. You'll have to reach Beanbean Castle, Chucklehuck Woods, Beanbean Skies (I cut Woohoo Hooniversity because it would only fit into one level), Teehee Valley, Gwarhar Lagoon, Joke's End, and finally Bowle-er, Bowser's Castle.

awesome!

*wants demo*

The problem with those is that they're too small, and even if you increased the size it'd still look ugly.

Yes, I am planning...but read my other thread, right below this one....

I'm going to rip Mario from Super Mario All-Stars-SMB3. I don't like the original Mario...it just looks...to...weird, I guess.

Here's all the enemy conversions I've got so far:
Goomba-Beanie
Paragoomba-Parabeanie (DUH)
Spiny-Sharpea
Lakitu-Lakipea
Koopa Troopa-Troopea
Koopa Paratroopa-Paratroopea (DUH)

Any more would be welcome.

Sorry I didn't have screenshots up like I said I would...I was just too addicted to Super Mario RPG....it's 9:32 PM right now where I live. POSSIBLY some screenshots tomorrow....doubt it though.

I was planning to make a game with a different character (a custom one), but then I realized my hack's levels sucked

Hm, if you cant rip the MLS sprites, why not try to draw new sprites in that style? It would take a lot of wok, though...

SS's Mario is too big for the SMW Mario, I just found out....but I don't want to use the original Mario graphics so I guess I'll use the SMAS-SMB3 graphics. And I'll also be putting in a lot of ORIGINAL graphics instead of all those rips you see in every hack that's been released in the last year. I'm going to allow myself 5 rips, and no more. Probably.....

Am I the only one to have changed Mario's graphics in a SMW hack?

If you can pull off making him into a more SuperstarSagaish Mario and make him look good, go for it. Just make sure you back up your old rom in case your experiment goes to hell and it looks like shit.

404-The overworld is early and beta. I haven't made anything yet except for the mountain. No way that's final.

Hidden Mario-The first two screenshots are of levels in Stardust Fields. I wouldn't want to change that.

That looks really cool. Great job. When do you plan on releasing a demo. Other then that it looks fine.

(Edit: I should work on my Mario hack soon.)

Make the Goombas into Beanies and Para-Goombas into Parabeanies. Ya know; add some of the bean-bean kingdom's creatures in there.
