If you can't find a flash cart, you can always flash an EEPROM and replace the ROM in an old cart with it.

Well... I dunno how to do it to old time cartridges with batteries, but I know how to get em to ones that use flash memory.

1) Get a flash usb linker
2) Get a flash card
3) Get roms (if NES or SNES, use their respective programs to convert to GBA)
4) Put onto flash card
5) Insert into GBA or GBASP
6) Play.

That's what I do.

Yes. You need special, rewritable (Flash?) cartridges to do that. I'm not sure if every system has those available, though...I know GBA and Genesis do, and I'm pretty sure SNES does, too, but I may be wrong on that.

Yeah it's possible. But you have to take into consideration what extras the cartridge might need. i.e. how much SRAM, any possible add on chips like the Super FX or C4 in the snes case, and I think memory mappers in the nes case. Don't know much about other platforms. You'll need to solder in anything of the above things that aren't included in the base system if you want to play them on the console.

There's probably more to it but I'm not expert on this.

Is it possible to port ROM hacks onto cartridges? If it is, how do you do it?
