Because Rage Mobilities have no DirectX or OpenGL capabilities AT ALL. |

well, it can play Halflife, CS, almost any game ive tried that isnt newer then 2001 or so, mostly games from 2000 work fine...Ragnarok Online works fine, PristonTale in game worked, but it lagged like hell on the menu's but now I got an even weirder question, why cant it play any 3D games in Windowed? says something about DirectX cant be initialized... |

What game(s) can that thing play, and can it play them with hardware acceleration if they're that old that they still have a software mode? |

have you tried exploiting all the graphic features of the game? like run high resolution textures, run at a very high resolution (like 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768)? the game recommends 16MB probably because you will need 16MB of video ram to use all the high res graphics features the game have to offer. if you don't, then you do not need as much RAM as the game requires... |

ok, my computer says my Video card memory is 4MB, its an ATI rage Mobility, but I can run games with requirements up to 16MB, and they usually run without lag and at 50fps anyone explain this?
btw, 128mb ram and P3 700mhz Laptop |
