It actually seemed pretty obvious to me, actually. |

I think it was even said in LM, not the help file, at least that's where I learned how. |

THANK YOU! I've been trying to get that to work for ages! |

An easy cheap way to get a Layer 2 level smashing is to copy Wendy's Castle to the level, and edit away. |

It works perfectly from the map, so I probably haven't done something wrong with the layer 2 settings... Maybe I should try to use an secondary exit... Hmm... |

I think I know what happened. I've been experimenting with layer 2 a lot, so I bet I can help you.
1. Some kinds of smashes or scrolls just won't work. Try a different one. 2. In the "edit level header" menu, make sure Layer 2 interaction is "Yes'. This is the most common Layer 2 mistake. 3. If the "Layer 2 Scrolling Rate" is anything besides "constant", Layer 2 will either not show up or behave like a background. 4. Make sure there's no vertical scrolling allowed in the level, or else any layer 2 objects will be messed up.
Well, I hope that helps. I still don't know how to make layer 2 smash really fast (Like in Wendy's Castle) so if that's what you're trying, sorry. |

It could be the settings you're using for your exits. Try fiddling with different options and see what happens. |

I'm making a bonus room for my hack and are using both layer 1 and 2 (level, not bg). It works fine when I access the level from the map, but when I enter it through a door or pipe in a level, layer 2 doesn't show up. Any help? |
