Infact I was having some problem with yoshi coins too. I'm making a GFX only hack of SMW and the yoshi coins in some of the levels were giving me about 20 lives per coin and some were missing half of itself even though it was'nt on a screen boundry. They were all in the same position as the original.

What? There are horizontally AND vertically oriented subscreen boundaries?
Were the programmers on drugs when they coded this game?

Anyway, so far the Yoshi coins are working fine for me now, so thx. But the level isn't complete yet. I hope there are no more problems.

Maybe you put the coin between two screens. Press F2 and look whether it is in lower AND upper half of the screen. Happened to me once and that fixed it.

Actually, what I did was I set the destination of the red coin animations to 8 and 28. I didn't make a Yoshi coin clone, I replaced it altogether. It's still the same Yoshi coin you select under Extended objects, just with different GFX.

Do the blocks in the map16 have the same Block acts like properties as the normal yohsi coin?

Hi guys.

In my new hack (as of yet unnamed), I am making a level where one must collect all the Yoshi coins before reaching the goal is possible. One problem though, no matter where I put a Yoshi coin, when I try collecting it the bottom half never disappears! This isn't just subscreen boundaries, this is anywhere. I had a theory that Yoshi coins glitch up when placed on the last screen of a level, but I proved that one wrong.

One more thing, I have replaced the Yoshi coins with custom animations (spinning red coins), though that shouldn't affect it, because in my defunct hack Super Toad World, unchanged Yoshi coins would glitch the hell out of themselves, and in this hack, I managed to get one red coin working in a level as if by pure luck.

Why, oh why, are Yoshi coins doing this??
