Their marketing for the VB was TINY. Compared to what else they had on the market?
Yeesh.
Face it, when you pour billions of dollars into a machine, it best perform.
Putting a lot of stake in it is all they can do. |

So was the Virtual Boy.
But they still survived.

It really depends on how much they bank on Revolution. If it fails and they put a lot of stake on it...It might very well mean their demise. |

Won't happen, well not at the moment.
Nitendo has been there for awhile. They are not likely to leave soon, and if they do, they might simply go the Sega way.

Nintendo is the cockroach of the video game world. They will never die out. Even if the going gets thin, Nintendo can hide under a rock for 100 years then make a badass comeback.
Anyways, if somehow they do end up dying, Sony would be the grandmaster of gaming. |

Aye. And they can still make their own handheld consoles and rake in the cash. |

Won´t happen for a darn long time. And I´m happy with that.
I´d rather see them in co-operation with Sega than with Sony or Micro$oft. |

Not likely to happen any time soon, but... my bet would be on Microsoft.

Maybe Nintendo will slip out ...
But, it would be cool if they came back completely fused with Sega. Old rivals, united! ...
But yeah, I doupt it'll happen. |

Sony would have difficulty picking them up...anti-trust. Hold too large a marketshare. So MS would do it. Plus MS has mo money$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
But it probably won't happen. Unless they make as many dumb choices as they did this production cycle. |

Then laugh.

Sony, if it even happens.
I'm leaning that it won't...and I doubt very seriously that Nintendo, who's been around for the longest time, would drop out of the console race...then again, I was suprised when Sega did it. |

As some people may or may not know, Iwata announced that if the Revolution does not outsell the Gamecube, then it will be a complete failure. If it does fail, this could mean the end of Nintendo Consoles. If this did happen, who would you like to see pick them up.
I would hate for this to happen, I am somewhat of a Nintendo fanboy, but I am not going to ignore the facts. |
