They're cheaper that way.

Using the "modificator" keys (Ctrl, Alt, Shift etc.) you can have more buttons pressed.

Aha! That works... thank you everyone who helped answer my question!

I think the most I've been able to pull at one time was six or so and that was with O2JAM. sdfjkl I think.

For instance, In ZSNES in KI using zxcasd I can only perform certain moves depending on the direction I'm facing because of also pressing the direction keys, nm,k, at the same time.

I guess I should just buy a cheap-o controller for my PC, though I don't know how much I'll use it once my Xbox gets modded.

Keyboards are usually bad when it comes to hitting multiple buttons at a time... just how the interface works. Pick up a cheap gamepad or find a way to map different commands to the same button (I think a few emus have macros).

It could be your keyboard. Mine was the other way around (Nester could handle three buttons at a time, but ZSNES was stubborn).

Hi everyone...

I'm having some serious problems emulating games for the NES. I've tried a ton of emulators, but none work properly. Here's the problem:

Let's say I'm playing Super Mario Bros. You know how if you hold forward and B, then press jump, you can do a running jump making Mario jump higher? Well I can't do that. Problem is, the emulator seems to only let me press two buttons at a time, so if I'm holding down forward and B, pressing A to jump won't do anything... I just keep running.

Does anyone know what the problem is? It's funny because this sorta thing never happens in SNES9x or Gens.

Help would be appretiated, thanks!
