It's not the normal waterballoon-like tits most anime women have. They have a semblance of a real shape to them Nice work; keep it up.

I agree on pretty much everything here. It´s more close to reality than to fiction.

Who´s a perv?

The one that´s lying is my favorite of those three. Are you going to color them too?

Hmm... there are a lot of proportion comparisons that can be made between any of the innumerable body parts/regions, and apparently none of them are correct...

7-8 heads is proportional, 10 heads is way off.
...but it sounds like you actually meant only one such comparison, that of the head to the overall height. And I know the first one (the one in the upper-right corner) is too tall and the head too small, though I wouldn't think that about the second. Oddly, the third one is just as tall, just that her height is arranged differently, and you seem to like it.

The second one's hands appear broken and the face on the first figure looks out of place.
Yeah, I definetely need to work on drawing hands, I know that much. And I did mess up on the first one's face, I drew the outline as though she were facing the viewer, but the facial features as though she were looking a bit off to the side.

Despite the first two amateur sketches,
The third one was done in a professional capacity? Where's my money, then?

the third one is actually half-way decent for a rough sketch.
Except, again, for the waist area. That line near the top border is supposed to be her spine; after looking at it for a while I saw how it doesn't work with the orientation of the chest/ribcage structure. And normally I'll just draw hand-shaped blobs if I don't feel up to trying to draw in the fingers, but with the third drawing, one can tell those are hands only by inferring it from their location at the ends of the arms. *bangs head against wall*

I'd actually find and purchase more anatomy books just get a better grasp at where the muscles, bone structures, and tendons belong relative to a human figure.
Well, so far I've pretty much gotten by on "feel", I try to draw what looks right, and later on learn why that's right (or why it wasn't). The anatomy book I mentioned, I didn't study it very much (it isn't as complete as I'd like regarding e.g. the structure of the thigh muscles, and what it does cover, it seemingly covers at just above the cellular level; it seems more like a medical guide than an artistic guide, replete with the Latin names for these things), mainly I just casually familiarized myself with the major structures of the pelvic bone and thigh-bone, how they connect, and where the thigh-bone is located inside the thigh; suddenly the shape of the hips makes a lot more sense, I was familiar with that shape but now I have more an understanding of why it's shaped that way; that was mainly what inspired me to try my hand at drawing some more.

I might try my hand at drawing just the skeleton, focusing mainly on the proportions and how they relate to the outward form, and perhaps I could improve from there. The book also covers the muscular system, though isn't as head-to-toe-and-everything-in-between comprehensive, so I might have to look up some online resources sometime. But so far I've gotten where I am doing complete drawings and refining things as I go along (I'm sure that's not the most efficient way to learn, but nevertheless it is how I have learned: self-taught), and I'm looking forward to getting better as I take my purely in-the-trenches knowledge and combine it with more-formal study, the former giving me a head start in the latter.

*shrugs*

Well, I still draw faces in an animéish fashion, though I wasn't intending for the figures to be judged by animé standards. Though 7-8 heads tall may be proportional, 3 heads is not.

I'm working on my new site, but am too lazy to go and rig it to work with Panicus (which seems to think $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] shouldn't point at the domain's document root ), so until then, might as well post my stuff here.

Unlike my avatar (*cough cough*), these are actually of females, and so would technically constitute pornography (though these aren't sexual in nature, but are of nudes nevertheless). I put "nude" in the thread title, which should be warning enough; if not, a moderator or admin can feel free to make this a link to the image instead of being an inline image:

These aren't cleaned up (e.g. sharpened or cropped), it's basically just a scaled-down scan, all were scanned together as they're on the same piece of paper, scanned at 400dpi, reduced here to 25% size, thus the image is at 100dpi.

I had skimmed through a book on anatomy (skeletal and muscular structure) and so felt I had a better grasp on the form of the human body, so decided to have a go at it. These are the first pencil-and-paper drawings I've done in a while. The one in the upper-right corner was the first one I drew (I draw left-handed, so move across a paper right-to-left when drawing); the head is too small and legs too long/large compared to the rest of the body, but shape-wise I think it's alright. I'd have re-drawn the head, but it looks nice in its own right, and I'm more used to basing the body proportions off the head and not vice-versa, so God® knows how bad it'd have been had I taken that route.

The second one I drew was the one in the upper-left corner. I have much less experience drawing heads facing up or down, but I think it came out alright here. Feet aside, this drawing came out considerably better than the first (and probably the third as well). I think I did pretty well with how her right leg (her right side, as opposed to the image's right side; her right leg = the one that's raised) connects to her body and establishes the form of the vagina/crotch area; though after looking at it for a while I fear that said area may be too high in relation to the torso, but nevertheless I think I pulled it off well.

The one at the bottom was the third and last one I drew, and was quite a different experience to draw, but I think I did pretty well considering; the hardest part was the lower edge of her tummy/hips/thighs, and I pretty much just BSed my way through drawing the waist area, but the chest/breasts area came out pretty well after erasing and modifying it a few times. I especially like her face and hair though; she looks pretty.

In all three of them, I drew their hair "thinner" than usual, normally I draw people (male and female alike) with very thick, full hair, as that is more intuitive to me; here I tried avoiding that to look a bit more like how real hairstyles look, and it came out well, I think.

As the time-stamps indicate, all three were drawn over the course of about 50 minutes, I drew more quickly than normal and didn't spend tons of time cleaning up lines or such afterwards. (The stuff above each of the time-stamps indicates the date (October 22 2005) and explaining them is a topic for some other time.)

So, yeah. Though I imagine not a few views of this thread will be due to a certain word in the thread title, there hopefully will be plenty who can offer some constructive criticism and/or lavish praise, both of which I like.
