I got an idea.... when Magikoopa said about new powerups...
Turn the shell GFX into the poison mushroom GFX, and make it so when Mario touches it, it kills him. But when a koopa touches it, it turns into a big koopa <3 |

Last I checked you don't die when you fall in SMW (unless you land on something painful or fall off the world or run out of time as soon as you hit the ground). Though if such a system were implemented, then yes, something soft to land on here and there would be good.
Non-linearness is good. My hack (plans anyway, haven't done any OW work yet) is basically the opposite of SNN's; you do the first 4 worlds in whatever order, and the last 3 will probably be linear (or they may be a non-linear area but require you to beat the first 4 first). |

Well, since it obviously appears that you know ASM . .
1. Make it long. Make levels long, but fun, maybe if you can, do what YI did through ASM hacking. Make 2 midway points for OMG long levels.
2. Custom OW graphics. Unless of course you already have them, I'd love to see some unique ones
3. Make puzzles. I love puzzle games (WOOT Tetris Attack) so if you were thinkinbg of adding new power-ups, make certain puzzles to get to secret rooms, etc.
4. Non-linear. What I'm doing in my hack, is making the first 3 worlds linear, then the next 4 non-linear. It may be better if you are stuck on a really hard level in one world, you can go "Screw it" and try a level in the other world.
5. Make an OMG creative storyline. Try making 3 or more message boxes through ASM. That way you could make a sweet storyline throughout your hack.
6. Be creative. Just think of crazy ideas, and put them in

New bosses? Yeah, I have one new major one planned right now. A powerup system for enemies would be nice, but how would I really implement that? I'd be kinda difficult to make it fai to the player, but I'll try. |

Well, I'm working on COTMK 2, and I'm wondering what you'd like to see in it.
