That's where I got my F-Zero II long ago. Yoshi no Panepon is pretty good too, but I like the goofy Japanese original more. And the BS Zelda is the only other BS game I've played.

Someone hacked the BS F-Zero courses so that there's an "Ace League" containing only the five new tracks. It's playable, but occasionally doesn't load properly, plus sometimes the backgrounds are glitchy. Still fun if you're an F-Zero buff (as I am).

Mario USA works fine for me, just I think ZSNES was werding out when it ran. Game is just plain weird, to say the least. You start in...is it world 2 or 3, the dsert world in smb2? Well you start there...in the corner of the screen you see this "avatar" of sorts...constantly changing between luigi and triclyde...though occasionaly i got mario, birdo, toad, and princess. I have yet to figure out its significance, really...and theres no sound, yet the sound samples are still in there (same as smas, meaning if i was bored enough i could just port smb2's music in there to "crack" it )

Let's just call them bullshit roms and get it over with

The problem is that they're not.

The ones that don't work either need to be examined closely or are just bad/incomplete dumps. And the ones that do work range from cool to... well... look at SMB3 Worlds. Mainly gimmicks.

The main character of Panel De Pon holds a magical wand, which is the 'Lip's Stick' weapon in Super Smash Bros. Melee. It's by far the most obscure weapon in the game.

Having the Panel De Pon ROM, I can understand why the changed the characters into various Yoshi charachters. The orginal is also fun, but it probably was too girly for the most (US/western) boys to play (but I liked how cute everything was ).

There is nothing wierd with choosing the girl, I mean. My sister chooses boys in games when she play. (funny sometimes when I am the girl, and she is the boy )

OK, let's see.

After a long and boring "cutscene" (IE still picture), you're teleported to somewhere in the game (I think it's the end of world 4) There are 3 playable levels, but you can just walk wherever you want on the map. There's also a flower symbol there, entering it will turn you into Fire Mario every time you die. Beating the 3 levels opens the gate to one of those money ships. After playing around for a while, the timer will run out, and you'll be teleported to another part of the same world, with more levels for you to beat. Wait until time runs out again, and you're sent to the Minifort of that world. Beat it, and you'll enter the roulette game, which you can play until the timer runs out. This will teleport you to another world (I think it's the bottom part of world 5. Long time since I played this), and once the timer runs out this time, you're sent to "Kuppa"'s castle. Beat him, and you win the game.

Yeah, not much new.

My fav BS ROM so far is Ikari no Yousai. Even though it freezes when you lose all continues...

The kid with the baseball cap was the BS Satelliview mascot, hence the reason why he was the hero of the BS games, not Link. I actually prefer the kid (although I play as the girl, because I *always* pick girls in most games, because I'm a weirdo... Plus she's less nerdy), because the Link sprite they made to replace him is a little... Weird.

Excitebike was awesome, and BS Zelda has been cracked to death so it's perfectly playable and good fun, but BS Zelda Triforce Of The Gods is still buggy as all hell and only the overworld is playable. Which SUCKS. Because it looks to me to actually be pretty damn cool, and introduces the Yellow Potion, which appears later in Wind Waker under a different name which I forget at the moment.

What's Super Mario Bros. 3 Worlds? Haven't heard of that one.

Yoshi's No Panepon is just Tetris Attack for the Japanese, right? Because their original version had completely different characters, and they Super Mario Bros. 2ised it for release over here.

Panel De Pon did have Lip's Stick of Super Smash Bros. Melee fame, though.

That may be the problem, have to wait.

I had problems with Mario's Excite Bike for example.
Yossi no Panepon, Super Famicom Wars and Dynamite Tracer work without problem.

I don't recall Dr. Mario working, and the Super Mario USA and Super Mario Bros. 3 Worlds didn't work.

Even when you FF it still takes a minute or two...

...which is why I always make a save state after the game loads. Don't need to be sitting through that again.

A few of those games couldn't have netplay...

The waiting is rumored that you could wait for other people to play (sorta like netplay with your SNES)... Or at least I'd like it to be ;D I can't really remember where I heard it, but I do remember hearing it from someone =-o

A lot of the obscure BS dumps don't work, true... Plus there's some where you have to wait 3-4 minutes before the game loads. No idea how that happened if it's a clean dump.

Maybe it's thinking that it is downloading?

Some Famicom disk system games acts like they were on a floppy in the emulator.

They all do. Just fast-forward through the loading.

Some Spectrum emulator force you to wait several minutes while the game loads as well.

the best dump I have sometimes freezes when you make a new character, just reset and choose the newly created file and it works fine I have a site, that's got tons of good BS Zelda dumps all over it. Actualy the place where I got the dump used for my BSZ hack (sometime last year, may restart it some time *shrugs*)
