Set a custom palette for that level. Open the palette editor. If you left click on a color for a palette and then hit ok (you don't need to make changes to the actual color), it will copy that palette's color to the palette editor's clipboard. If you right click on another color somewhere else, it will paste that color there. It's very simple to transfer colors from one palette to another. |

So you're saying I should paste the door in one of the ugly palettes, then copy the colours from the good palette? But then I have no clue what the good palette colours are . . |

Oh shit, but that won't really work. All the colours below that are hideous and you can't even tell what they are.
Is there any way at all to copy the colours from palette 8 onto palette 1 to 7? |

You can't. Palettes 0x8 and above are sprite palettes, and no FG/BG tiles can in any way use them. You'll just have to deal with using one of the palettes below that number. |

Hmm, this is actually really confusing me. I just ripped the door, log, and spikes GFX from YI, and they look something like this:
Well, that's fine and dandy. Those are the colours I want. MAKE NOTE OF THE PALETTE:
It is palette 8. Now, take a look at this. When I try to copy the tiles and palette into the 16x16 tile editor, it only goes up to palette 7:
I need palette 8, because it has the proper colours. Yet this only goes up to 7. How can I fix this? Thanks in advance |
