Yeah. Then they'll have to respawn way back and be forced to do a bunch of hard stuff over again. That'll show 'em.

Seriously, though. I wouldn't understand why you'd feel violent unless the crappy CPU owned you hardcore. Then again, I know what it's like to have an impossible CPU against you. Try playing Power Instinct 2 in the arcade. Geezus cripes.

The hiccup noise they make when they die is funny.

I just shoot fireballs at them. Seeing them fall through the floor is awesome.

You know, I can't really say I've ever felt compelled to do something in real life because of a video game, aside from wasting time playing it... D:

No, at least if hitting the controller or the console counts

when I play a game, any game at all...I get the urge to kill everyone in the room...

errr...when I was playing Zone of the Enders 2 I kept getting my ass handed to me during the fight against all the air ships. No matter what I did I couldn't win...it got to the point where I threw my controller at my dresser, than I grabbed it and ripped it in 2 with my bare hands. Than I ripped the soft pieces to shreads, and finally I grabbed all the buttons and threw them in random directions in my room. Oh and also I spit on it.

About 2 minutes later I got out my second controller, and preceded to play the level again. Almost broke that controller too, but I realized it was my last one so I had a little bit more restraint.

I have punched many many walls, and almost broke my hand for punching the ground as hard as I could.

Another sad sad event for me was when I broke my dreamcast controller. It all happened when I was playing Jet grind radio. I wanted to get all the souls in the level the first time around. I ended up doing the level like 6 times, and on the 7th time I just got so pissed off I threw my dreamcast controller in the air and punched it so hard, it just broke...it didn't crack or anything...it just simply broke. I couldn't play jet grind radio till about 1 year later.

In short...its not good to break the only controller you have

GTA didn't make me want to randomly kill people and steal their cars. Manhunt didn't make me want to brutally kill gangsters. So my answer is NO!!! Unless you take these games VERY VERY seriously of course.

Who doesn't? Often times it is the controller and/or input logic's fault (you press jump, and the character doesn't jump and you die). Smacking electronics always seems to get them working, dunno how or why, but it does. (Unless you hit them too hard and break them. )

Most of the time I get really angry at a game, it's because I've been trying to pass the same area for quite some time, whether because it's just too difficult, or because I can't figure out what to do.

An example of such would be my experience with Trauma Center this weekend. I'm up to the point where you're required to perform 5 operations to remove GUILT from each of the 5 patients within 10 minutes. The couple times I've tried it so far, one operation takes me 3 minutes, and two if I use the Healing Touch, which seemingly can only be used once, and lasts for 200 seconds (I think). It's extremely frustrating performing the operation on 4 of the 5 people, then not having enough time to finish the last one I haven't touched the game since Saturday afternoon because of that

The only other example that comes to mind was when my brother rented Wario World (or whatever the pseudo-3D Wario game for Gamecube is called). The areas you fall into got on my last nerve pretty quickly. Around the desert level, I started thinking about how I badly wanted to find the people that decided to put those areas in the game, and give them a piece of my mind.

To answer the question quickly, I'd say that sometimes I do feel like doing violent things after playing certain games, but that feeling passes fairly quickly, after I realize that it was just a game, and as such, it's more foolish than anything to be getting angry with it

When you lose, right?

Friend of mine does that when he gets multiple owns (be they cheap or not) against him. I've seen the holes over the years embedded in his home walls which have since then been repaired. Kinda cool watching an N64 controller get broken with just his bare hands too...course it kinda is dumb watching him bleed when he does it...but those N64 controllers WERE crap.

I don't spaz out and pistol-whip a pedestrian, but yes. I keep these feelings locked away though, I usually end up converting that energy to something productive. It's a satisfying aftertaste I get when seeing blood spilt all over. Don't misjudge my character though, I've had a violent life and grew out of adolescence since the first time you all knew me. Though I am a bit violent-natured, I don't consider myself a bad person, then again I get that feeling of hate from 99.99999% of people from this board because I don't enjoy thoughts of flowers and rainbows 24/7... To me, that's crapola on a stick.

I find it annoying how people think that, "Oh you like violence, you're a 100%, grade-A, sick son-of-a-bitch who will become a serial killer later in life! I know you so well!". Honestly, do you shun violence because the media told you to? I don't...

Who's the sick dick that voted yes?

I don't get violent after video games. But I might whap the controller on the ground to knock some sense into it. Of course, it's not that easy when you have a computer.

Of course, I had my Super Nintendo a loooong time ago (7 years now?) I was 10. And boooooy, did I get mad at Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure (that games sucks btw) I was right at the end and I died. I ending up breaking my controller after, so I couldn't get another system. Dammit.

...It's Deadly Towers, Yoro. I really can't blame you for wanting to take out your anger on THAT.

They don´t take the blame themselves. It gets FORCED at them. That´s why I hate all people that whines about that videogames are dangerous for kids and all that jazz.
