That would SO go in if it were real. Unfortunately, it's blatantly MSPainted, as BMF has politely pointed out for us.

As for the untold story, I'll probably review it, as I have all the screens taken etc. It's just I'm near my end of year exams, and it's really hot, so my will to do anything is greatly diminished I'll spew something up this week, even if it's just new dumb pictures.

Does that include the multi-character discussions and mindless banter?

Considering that for every good hack, there's a few shitty ones (which is, admittedly, like saying an ocean is wet), I think he's gonna need the help to keep up with them all.

The Kins....You must invite me onto your team! Even if you dont have a team, I so badly have always wanted to do what "Screw these Comics" does to comics and apply it to rom hacks.

This would be SO cool if I could do it....

For shitty hacks, you can't go wrong with the classic Wario's World, and it's glitched randomness spread around the levels without any kind of design planned at all.

I was wondering when someone would bring that up. Nobody appreciates the technical aspects of just how difficult a hack of that caliber is, even if it does use potty humour.

Heh, you don't need to tell me, I've been playing the game a lot back when I was a kid...
I enjoyed it, yeah. Your avatar is from the first one though. I didn't like the two first ones much. Especially since I discovered them after having played the 3rd one.

But a good game isn't obviously a commercially successful or famous one... Don't know how well the Pond series did though. It must have sold fairly well to spawn sequels. And whether its authors wanted Pond to become a mascot is arguable... *shrugs*

What's not remarkable about a fish version of James Bond?

But he wasn't a mascot at all. He was in 3 games, but not directly developed by SEGA. (Four if you count Aquatic Games, five if you count his cameo in Rolo.)

While the first one had pretty funny spoofs the gameplay wasn't good. The gimmicks in the second one weren't cool, and while okay gameplay-wise it wasn't terribly special.

And then came the third. Do you know what my layout is from? From James Pond III. I recommend it to all of you. Over 100 levels of moon, cheese, and fish madness. With excellent atmosphere, Kyouji can back me up on that. Enjoy.

But Trashy, I have hijacked your thread with Pond-related antics. So in exchange I give you Project MALLOW. Crap-tacular.

Oh, wait. You already did that one. Well, I got nothing else.

Whether the MD version was better than the SNES one or not doesn't change the fact James Pond wasn't really a rememberable character or a mascot.

Hm...

Having never heard of most of these, and since all the ones I knew were from Genesis, I figured you limited the mascots to Genesis characters for whatever reason. A quick Google search of Rocky Rodent says otherwise.

Which, by some stroke of incredibly good luck, might mean you have only played the SNES James Pond III. That game was glitched the point of unplayability, that much si for sure. But, here comes the most important question...

Did you play the Genesis version of James Pond 3?

Think carefully. If you have played the Genesis version, and still cast such a light on James Pond III, I will end you.
Didn't even know of it's existance despite having the entire Genesis Goodset to be honest. Put the hatchet down.

Perhaps if it were Pond the first, or Pond the second. But no. You chose the best and brightest pond, James Pond of James Pond III, and you killed him.
It was a mercy killing, His arms kept falling off! That and III was the first one I saw.

I'll probably review Wirtual Man today, If I can somehow find a way to actually finish it.

You bastard.

At first the whole brutally honest reviews thing appealed to me. I even considered asking if I could help out with the site. But then, you had to go muck it all up.

You killed James Pond.

Perhaps if it were Pond the first, or Pond the second. But no. You chose the best and brightest pond, James Pond of James Pond III, and you killed him.

This crime will not go unpunished. You will pay, oh yes, you will pay. I assure you, a day will come when you will pay.

"It's dangerous to go alone." Ha ha, that's funny.

But you will pay.

Hey, you know, I could make a few shitty SMW hacks just for this! It'd be great, with like fifty bazillion glitches in every level. And I would make a bunch of levels. Ooh! I could import the palette from a completely different game and use it for every level! I can see it now... Mario Metroid World! Of course, the palette that just looks like shit would be the only resemblance. It would have mostly the original levels, with thwomps and pipes tossed in everywhere. Maybe some autoscroll, and changing levels to be transparent. Then I could use the screen scrolling pipes but have them kill you by running them off the bottom of the screen. I've got some awesome ideas, so I'll whip up a hell of a hack for you guys! Want me to take my own screenies, or leave that to you?

All sarcasm aside... your site is pretty awesome. I'd like to say something else, but I'm too lazy.
