Metroid Prime is an amazing game, it's way ahead of it's time, much like Super Metroid. Both games did things that were never imagined with the genre when they came out, and are superb examples of gameplay. Prime gets extra merit, because of the fact that Retro made such a fine job of recapturing the experience and atmosphere. I could go on and on about my favorite points, but Prime was more of my time, and has more personal significance, so Prime it is |

WOW! Every game got at least one vote exept for hunters cause that is only a demo after all (A very bad demo). Return of Samus wasn't very like the others so I'd rate that as my least favourite. A lot of areas looked alike and it was hard to find your way around. I should have posted this with my first post on this thread. Oh well |

I played Metroid Return of Samus, Super Metroid and Metroid Zero Mission. My friend owns Fusion and Zeromission, but I liked Zero Mission better. Super Metroid is cool too, because as far as I know from the games I played, this was the only game in which you could disable and enable parts of your inventory. But I will go with Zero Mission. |

MZM was awesome. SM is a close second, though... I'm guessing that I just seemed to have played MZM more thoroughly, though... |

I did not like return of samus. As I recall, it just felt very forced. |

I would probably put Super on top but I would probably put Return of Samus as a close second. That game was the reason I got into the series so long ago and the first I really beat. |

These are some interesting responses.. I'm a bit surprised. For me, Super Metroid is the best. There is no contest. Sure Prime was fun and all, but it can't begin to compare. Plus I have those cherished nostalgic memories. |

Can't choose just one...
Super Metroid... just all around fun exploring, sometimes tedious but fun, boss battles were not too much though, I just loved the overall feel of the game.
Prime... I liked Prime, because of it's atmosphere, and it played nice, very smooth, and I love kicking the shit out of space pirates 3 dimensionally.
Prime 2... atmosphere, not quite Prime level but still good, this one owns for the boss battles... the boss battles in Echoes were supreme.
Those are my three I can't choose, I only like Fusion for a couple boss battles so I can't include that as a favorite (fighting SA-X, and Nightmare) |

Metroid Fusion. I haven't played many, and I hear that Prime is better, maybe better than Fusion or Zero Mission, but still. I can't truthfully say that a game is better if I haven't played it now, could I?
Also...Spoiler: I wanted post 19000 in this forum anyway. =P |

Erm, yeah. I forgot to specify, since I had stated "favorite game in a series" previously in my post. Specifically, I said
If you don't like a game, don't post in a thread about your favorite game in the series just to say you don't like the game.
There you go. |

Zero Mission for the win! Also Metroid Prime for the win, but multi-voting is off. CURSES |

No but there was that time Val said that MvC2 sucked in the MvC2 thread and no one yelled at him for that. |

If you don't like a game, don't post in a thread about your favorite game in the series just to say you don't like the game. You don't see me going to some random Street Fighter thread (ignoring, for a moment, the fact that there aren't any) and saying "Street Fighter sucks. Play *insert other game here*", now do you? |

Prime 2 is the best one, followed closely by Super Metroid. For you see, no one ever said you had to play the multiplayer, and the single player was "freaking awesome".
I would totally order them as Echoes > Super > Fusion > Prime > Zero Mission > II > Original > Hunters. Hunters looks like ass and plays like ass. I think we can all agree on this. |

Metroid Fusion.
Fast and fun. It was my favourite game on the GBA for ages simply because it had points that were challenging, but the overall game was easy enough to be able to blaze through. I must've played through it dozens upon dozens of time. And I'm still not tired of it. |
