Originally posted by Dcahrakos yeah it does something like that, it generates all the c/asm headers, and everything for you, but I cant seem to get the inline c to work properly...im still trying to get it to though... the asm works good, which can be really helpful in speeding up apps.
I read up and it requires a .dll at runtime... |

So it is almost like PDS for DOS...it is just a Linker to link the 2 .obj files together it sounds like. |

Moreover ThunVB can extend VB IDE to a basic Asm/C code editor. That means it can do syntax-highlighting of Asm/C keywords and supports intelli-sense for InlineAsm code as well."

you can do ASM in VB currently. Also does ThunderVB require a DLL to release with your programs? This could be the more anoying thing... |

I havent really tried it out, since i had to go when I found it, but what sounded nice was true DLL's...ill try it out a little now...
edit: yeah, you need the tags in front of all the C and asm stuff...oh well, its still nice to have, just need to get use to it lol.
edit2: I got the asm to work, but the inline c doesnt want to...you need to make the exe before any of the c or asm works though...no big deal really though |

Neat. Can it compile VB programs to native code, though? That's the one thing VB really needs to go from sucky to not too bad.
And don't tell me you need to have those markers in front of every line of C/ASM. |
