There's lot more catching up to do with Blocktool. I have to learn everything from my bro.

Yes, but that would be unprofessional...

Actually the easiest way would be to put a Goomba on top of it.

That's possible. However... The problem is the graphics. You can't make the block's code run until something touches the block, which means that the graphics can't be changed until it's touched by Mario or a sprite. Therefore, just using Blocktool isn't enough. The easiest way would probably be to modify the level loading routine...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't that overwrite the normal switch blocks?
I don't want to replace them. I want both.

1.you can do it by changing a rom adress, that explained in the smw rom adress thread
2.you can just: go to map16 and put the unfilled one where the filled one should be and put the filled one where the unfilled should be
3.that don't related at all with blktool

As long as we're on the topic of Blocktool, I have a fairly specific request.
Could anyone tell me how to create inverted switch blocks? As in, Yellow/Green/Red/Blue switch blocks that start out active, then become hollow when the switch has been pressed?

I already told you, that wasn't a bump

That with the bump...
Anyway, thanks for your advice, Itemfix was on page 4 in 50 threads a page. And it worked! Thanks again.

Now that I think about it, I think there was a thread that said "I want fixitem.IPS", but I don't know where to find it...

Didn't someone make a hack which allowed the hacker to change the item box picture of any sprite?

Right now, there isn't a fix for those item box glitches. and, that wasn't really a bump. if you look in the faq, it says a bump is 2 weeks or more. that was 2 or 3 days.

I really am sorry for the bump (if it is a heavy bump), I don't want to open a new thread for an idiot blocktool question. May I post my blocktool problem here???

I used, for an example, the ? block with lakitu cloud. Where can I change the graphic which appears in the item box when I get the lakitu cloud?

So do I. I'm no expert at Blocktool. But I'm really jealous at my own sibling for doing a better work than me.

How to use custom Graphics:

If You are using regular Graphics:

1. Edit your graphics and Insert them with LM's green Mushroom Toolbar Button.
2. if you don't know already, find the tile numbers that the tiles use. If you hold your mouse over the tile, it will say in the editor's stattus bar what tile you have your mouse over.
3. Go back to the Map16 Editor, and in the 16x16 Attributes, set the Text boxes that have "Tile 1(Upper Left), Tile 2(Upper Right), Tile 3(Lower Left), Tile 4(Lower Right)" to the tiles you want.
I've circled the ones you need to change.

4. If you click OK, the Tile in the Bottom-Left hand corner will be how your tile will look.

5.If it's the wrong color, go back to the 16x16 attributes Window, and set the Pallate Box to a different number. If no color you want is there, you'll have to use a custom pallate.
6.Right Click on the Tile you aer going to insert it to, so if you originallly picked tile 20A, it should go back at tile 24A's position.
7.Press F9 on the keyboard to save your changes.

If you use ExGFX:
Same as before, except press the Yellow Mushroom on the status bar, and you'll have to set up the GFX Bypass before using the graphics.

NOTE: the Tiles' Graphics will not transfer from one tileset to another. For example, if you have a Ghost house open when you make the Graphics, you won't see it in a Forest Tileset later. you have to do it over for the forest.

See, Its talking about graphics and the block in my last post already exist in blktool

the block don't suppose to show since he don't have graphics, blktool don't give graphic and act like setting, I just make the block call a subroutine(exemple: make mario become luigi)the thread Tatrion has linked you have all these info about setting their graphics
This is a long thread. Click here to view it.
