I remember this; I took 2 years of speech and debate in high school. I remember going around giving speeches and participating in Lincoln-Douglas debates. It was somewhat fun if you were prepared.

That is the fun part. I might be seeing you at the next tournament if you are in debate.

National Forensics League... you mean SPEECH?

I'm not in it, but I will say that you should define "democratic ideals" if you are going to claim what you just said. Without knowing what "democratic ideals" truly means, you cannot make a definitive argument for either side. Of course, democracy can be viewed from many angles, especially America's democracy. You could take a majoritarian, pluralist, or elitist view, or you could even look at it from the eyes of someone who looks at democracy as Aristotle would have, or how Stalin would have. Therefore, BE PRECISE.

Anyone in this? If so, what is your resolved? Just wondering.
My resolved is:"U.S. Immigration Policy is consistant with democratic ideals"
Obviously, the negative is easy. I'll post my case in a couple days, so anyone can try to rebute it.
