Call it '50 More Levels'.

Well I was going to call the sequel 'Another 50 Levels' at first so maybe I should stick with that name.

But anyway, I know I promised screens of some of the new levels today but I have decided to wait until I release the 10 Level Demo. It should be released very soon.
Sorry
but I'm sure you'll like the demo

Although the HDMA effect would be a reaaly good idea, I'm still planning on keeping the game using original GFX. I am trying to prove that a good Mario World hack can be made without 'fancy' ExGFX. I am already planning on Putting ExGFX AND the HDMA effect in '50 LEVELS 2'.
Thanx a lot for the feedback so far everyone!

Great Idea, I never seen vertical water level before, I also got a question: will you gonna use HDMA effect?

I've never seen a vertical water level before until I've played the Super Mario World: Return to Dinosaur Island IPS. It's very interesting, since you swim upwards/downwards really fast, and you can hit into many nasty things if you don't take it slow.

Off-topic, I know, but meh.

Not custom blocks, though. Especially if you lost the .msc file, lost the BlockTool block file and/or don't know what goes where. Plus, it's the included HDMA looks horrible unless used in the perfect situation and it'll put too much strain on the little guy.

Why would he go through all that work to get HDMA when he wasn't even intending to use exgfx?

the HDMA patch has to be applied to a clean ROM, and e's already started his hack.

I have made a few changes to some of my levels and have come up with some very nice new ones:

'Deep Sea Diving' is now a vertical water level.

'Very Girly' is now called 'A Pink Challenge'

And the three new levels are called:

'The Haunted Forest'
'Question block Mania'
'Heaven and Hell'.

Screens of the level changes and the new ones will be posted early on Sunday (maybe earlier) on this thread.
I would still like to here any ideas for levels.
Remember, I'm making this hack for your enjoyment
(and for fun of course)

ALSO... I will release a special 10 level Demo once I have 10 full levels completed.

Again sorry for the complete lack of screens on the new levels

Hmm, that black and white Screen reminds me of Rainbow Resort 6 in Kirby's Adventure. I think Kirby himself was the only colored sprite in that level too. Very good palette useage there.

If Mario were black and white as well, it'd make it a bit harder to distinguish him from other sprites. I quite like the idea of him being the only coloured sprite.

That's Cool! I'm pretty sure it'd be impossible with the Current LM to have mario be B&W in just one level. good, I like that idea.

EDIT: How... awkward... Post #123...

Here is a screenshot of level 8.

Black and White

P.S. Mario is the only sprite/object that has its normal colors.

Well it fits the theme.

An original-graphic-only hack is cool, but there's no reason you can't use ExGFX to 'touch up' the graphics, in order to work around restrictions and the occasional error. For example, I don't think many people would care if you made an alternate version of the ? blocks surrounded by blue instead of transparent so that they'd fit into the water properly.

Also:

Love the BG colours.

Unfortunatly I have to leave that pink color on the cement blocks because changing the color will mess up the whole background color scheme

It's me or the cement blocks in very girly have some pinkish color over it? (Is that they're transparent of it's actually pink?)

Besides that and everything posted here, it a good begin

PS: i couldn't quote the image, because it goes out of the table

Don't use rounded-ccorner blocks underwater!

How are you supposed to get past that with big mario?

Sequence is too long.

Cool, nothing wrong with it.

What is going on here?

Nothing wrong here. is that level completely made of cement?

WARNING: Extremely Dull!

Ok fine there is a few things I have to fix but You can get past the fish by ducking(duhh)
and the sequence is not that hard to remember honestly. The Overworld has little to no detail because the game dosen't have a specific theme or story. The game is at its early stages and it is the first hack I have commited to so it can only get better. It is supposed to be unusual in places, I know what I am doing.

I think the blue is water and the red is lava.

Nice job so far and keep it up!

BTW, by any chance do you know peter_ac? He's from Waterford, too.
