how do you do the swap trick?

I heard with the new top-loaders, you can just do a swap trick like you could on old PSXes. |

The problem is that burning the iso will make a cd (or dvd) like any normal ps2 game backup, and if the PS2 isn't modded, there's no way it will boot. Unfortunately, i think you must buy an ORIGINAL SWAP MAGIC disk (they're in 3.6 version i think) or install a modchip in your PS2 (Mars pro 1/2 are good modchips and affordable, DMS4 and matrix infinity are the best, but way too expensive!) |

i dont think i'd be able to do that knife trick because i have one of the newer ps2's that open like the gamecube does |

The knife-swap trick is a BAD example of how to open the PS2 drive without hitting eject. You're better off taking an old credit card and cutting it up then slicing the drive bay with a knife.
There's some Independence disc for PS2 boot that I saw as a site a while back. Might want to Google for that. I'd do some searching now, but I'm kinda out the door as it is. |

this isn't a request...im wondering how to get them to work because i thought you just stuck into the ps2 and you would be able to play backed up games but it dont work...can anybody help me? |
