Oooh..okay..yeah I haven't seen it. I wasn't even born around then. I barely remember what I watched when I was younger besides cartoons. For sure I remember Inspector Gadget though. I can't forget that.

I haven't seen Inspector Gadget in sooo long either. I don't even know how many years since it was so long ago.

heres a little info
"
Set in Washington, D.C., the show features Agent 86 (Maxwell Smart), his boss (The Chief), Smart's partner and later wife (Agent 99) and a host of other agents both good and evil. Perhaps one of the most important elements of the show is the gadgetry created to help Smart in his quest to keep the free world free. On this show, anything including the kitchen sink can be a phone, a tape recorder, a camera or weapon. Looking for an Agent? Check under your seat cushion. Want a weapon? Try your finger-gun. Need to make a phone call? Open up that bologna sandwich. The show was painted in the broadest of strokes and played every moment for its own delightful reality.
In order to give the agents of CONTROL, a series of worthy opponents, KAOS was created. Smart and 99 battled the likes of Mr. Big, The Claw, and Siegfried.

On the home front, Max and 99 had a relationship that developed as the show ran and eventually they married. 99 soon gave birth to twins (a boy and a girl) and the Smart family (and the show) began to experience some growing pains.
"

ran from 1965-1970 VERY good show.

Oh you can tell Gadget = Adams right away, trust me.

Then again, I think I saw Get Smart 4 or 5 years ago one day and I haven't seen Gadget in... god, at LEAST 10 years. LEAST.

I loved Inspector Gadget.
We should all sing the Inspector Gadget song in his memory. *starts humming*

yeah...hes one of the better actors, although atleast it wasnt a young death, 82 is a pretty long life.. I never use to watch Get Smart until a few months ago, since we got digital cable, but it is a very good show, and I never even knew he did the voice for inspector gadget until my mom told me, but I use to watch it all the time.

I used to watch both Get Smart and Inspector Gadget and loved them both as a kid. I even watched a documentary fairly recently (a few months back) on Don Adams...

This makes me sad.... Adams was just such a funny guy

This one's pretty sad.

Get Smart is probably on one of the satellite channels here but I remember watching it when I was younger... just fantastic. Adams was tremendous in it.

I didn't watch Get Smart pretty much at all, but I used to like the old Inspector Gadget cartoon. Too bad I never got to see the second season of Inspector Gadget, except for a few eppies of the second season I have on video.

R.I.P. Don.

Wow. I used to watch Get Smart all the time when I was younger, as did a few of my other friends. They won't be too happy about this.

You will be missed, Don.

im sure some of the older people know who he is..as well as people who liked old shows...he was Maxwell Smart, on Get smart, as well as the voice of Inspector Gadget on the old cartoon...

he was a good actor...

wow, alot of good actors dying this year..

apparently he died of a lung infection of some sort.
