drjayphd - Tecmo Cup Soccer. That was one of the Captain Tsubasa games.
Some DC's do have protection but the majority of them don't I think. Therefore there's a LOT of people copying games for it now. |

You burn roms and an emulator to a cdr disc (or dvd if you want if it's X-Box or Playstation). The emulator on the disc will run the roms on the disc using the consoles hardware. There's all kinds of examples, and different kinds of emulation going on.

There's more, I don't know of them though. Console-Console emulation rules.

Hah... yeah, I impressed the hell out of one of my old roommates with that. That and a Tecmo soccer game that he thought was like an RPG... I'll vouch for NesterDC's creamy goodness. |

You need a mod chip and a burned CD which contains the emulator, roms and any other settings/files needed.
So it's not a simple process if you're putting all that together for the first time. |

Oh, I thought you only needed a mod chip... Oops...
Well, you can play old games on pretty much any next gen system, I think... without that emulator... right? |

Not really.
Although when you see someone playing NES games on their GBA... That can be a bit confusing.
(The DC is the best system for emulation, BTW.) |

Looks like there's one in stock.
Console emulators... that must be pretty strange. |
