I think they look pretty good. I see no problems there. I would love to play it. Is it done yet? If it is then post it here, I'd like to play it. You don't need to change the pallettes, they're cool. If it's not not done, then at least release a demo. Looks good, keep it up.

Here are my opinions of the pics:
1.The palette is nice.
2.Looks good. A black podobo? Never seen it before.
3.Nice. The rope? I have no idea what to say.
4.Looks hard. Is there a way to get there?

Finish tomorrow.

I think that last one looks rather good, actually. The background may be bright, but it's not contrasting... all the colors are similar tones of red-orange. I like the stained-glass sorta thing you have going on there.

Your sprites are major no-nos, though. Did you fix the glitch that happens when castle sprites and yoshi are in the same level? And that black podobo in the tar pits... bleach. Except for that stained glass in the last one, I haven't seen anything new or interesting here.

That looks great to me! Personally, I like it. Send me the hack if you can, I really want to try it!

I must say I love some of the palettes! But are you guys saying I should change the overexcessive vibrant ones?! Because I'll change the Bright red one you see, and the green switch one.

The level design looks great. Just work on the palletes and it might be a good hack. Good job.

  1. The colours are painful. Neat idea, poor execution.
  2. Cool, but those bouncy green things are a major pain. Putting them over something that kills you is bound to be frustrating.
  3. BG behind the cactus is a bit repetitive, otherwise nice. Good use of the rope.
  4. I can see this level's going to be difficult, but probably rather fun. Nice gold blocks.
  5. Not bad, but why are the shroomtops flying? Also, the vine looks odd purple, and ? blocks should always be yellow (unless they're special or you changed all of them to a different colour).
  6. Only problem here is the blackness at the top of the ground. Looks like you filled it with the wrong colour.
  7. The ground looks corrupted or something. Otherwise, it's nice, but the Koopa could use some work. (Looks like you tried to make a ghost Koopa, but it didn't turn out so well... try less blue and more gray.)
  8. Ooh, that seems difficult. Make sure you check everything, I find sprites disappear fairly often when I use Eeries.
  9. Night desert? Cool!
  10. Pretty good, but the pipes should be thicker. Consider using ExGFX to make pipes with water around them. As it is now, there's big gaps.
  11. It's a bit bright. If you want to simulate heat, use d4s's HDMA hack instead. It wouldn't necessarily be bright in a cave, after all. Also, why is there a dead fish floating in the air in a volcano?

Sure thing then... I'll start using a suttle color pallette for my hack.

Nah, it looks okay for the green switch, but you're gonna keep the same theme for the yellow palace, please tone it down.

So do all of you think I should make the Green Switch design less vibrant?

The palettes aren't bad. They're just a tad awkward. Trust me, I've seen worse. As for the gameplay, try to add in a little bit of ExGFX if you can. If you can't, that's ok too.

Try to add originality to it. Make challenges beyond just jumping. Make time challenges and challenges that you have to have Yoshi to get to a certain point.

CHALLENGE ME! I'M STINKOMAN!!!!11!!1!!

In all seriousness, you're doing a fine job. Just keep it up.

-Green water only fits in nuclear stations.
Poisonous swamp...

01: Wacky palette. Neat, though.
02: Alternate palettes for ripped tiles that are good = instant win
03: The rope and normal bridge are joined.
04: Nothing wrong here.
05: Nice palette, but the design could use some work.
06: Fix those completely pink hills, and mess with the color of the orange other ones.
07: That light seems out of place, but it's tolerable.
08: Great in concept, but the background grandint should go from dark blue to darker blue. The black at the top messes it up.
09: Looks more like Antarctica or something. Use a palette not unlike the one recommended for shot 08
10: Holes back be seen through the blocks and pipes.
11: The background should be A LOT darker, and fix up the foreground a little.

I dunno, I actually like the screenshots. The palettes are unique and refreshing.

It looks cool, but... I don't think you should open a new thread every time you update something. you should keep one thread. good for a first hack, though.

Thank you guys for your input, I'll probobly go ahead and fix those things.

Other than those things does it look okay? I mean does it look fun?
