Googie, I visit your board occassionaly. But, for the most part, I don't really visit other ROM hacking areas other than this one. Sometimes I check up on TEK, and InfiniNES, but mainly here, because lets face it, whether you want to believe it or not, this is the center of the ROM hacking community. When all groups go down, where do you go next? The place where everyone goes; Acmlm's.

Dan, thanks for posting those. Yes, they were very interesting indeed. Thank you sir.

Good luck in the game designing dept. anywhoo.

Dan Those screens do look hot. Thanks for uploading them Dan, God I wish I was around in the DES days.

Hello Googie. I wouldn't say on vacation. I actually left the scene with no intention of coming back. However, I have a strong interest in game design right now, so I thought I'd hang around for a little bit.

Thanks for trying to dig up some screenshots. Those 2 hacks of MMVen are very old. Going back 3-4 years ago. I'll tell you a little bit about them from what I remember.

The MM2 version had graphics changes, palette changes, and some level changes. The only level I remember seeing though was Heatman's stage. It looked interesting though. Bass' sprite was there, but it didn't look anything like it did in the homebrew. Vagla had a hard time fitting the sprites in, which is understandable since Bass' sprites were bigger than Megaman. But, it looked okay.

The MM3 version was even more interesting in my opinion. It had an introduction sequence, something that MM3 doesn't have. The first screen showed many words, and then there was a cutscene with Bass (at the time was Megaman in a peach color) talking to Dr. Wily. Firing in all directions was implemented, as was bullet clipping. At that time the MM3 version of this game was the only thing that had my interest. Its not everyday someone makes major ASM hacks to a ROM (Although it would be nice if more people did that kind of stuff ). Well, and thats the story.

For those who don't know, before Megaman Vengeance became a homebrew, it was a hack in 2 different games; Megaman 2 and 3. I was just wondering if anyone ever saved the screenshots from both those versions? I loved how they showed off the new features that were to be in the hack before it went over to a homebrew. Can't hurt to ask. If not, it's no big deal. Thanks.
