I've just started watching, at Thayer's behest, and yes, it is good. Abrasive is the way to describe the opening music, but I am a food slut, and that opening is mouthwatering.
I've no idea what the plot is as of yet, I'm in the middle of ep1. Best of all, you learn Japanese from these things~ Okite kudasai! ;p |

I downloaded this the other day since Atma suggested it. Pretty kickass. I'm going to find more episodes, but seriously, I really liked what I saw in this and I've not heard any complaints from people I've asked who've also seen it. The opening theme is a little abrasive but that's no big deal, since I can just skip over it (but the visuals for it are cool so it's a hard choice, heh). I think my favourite part is where Takemono is attempting to get Morita to wake up, but it's no soap. 
Edit: I'm now on episode 7, and frankly, this series is just magnificient. The art is beautiful, the characters are interesting, and the storyline is developed well. |
