They all are different versions of the same sprite, pointing to different hardcoded scroll patterns. If you found the data for the routines, you could edit them, if you know ASM. I know ASM, but I have never succeeded even once in tracing a routine properly, but it's always worth a try. I'll try it in a few days when I don't have tons of homework and reports, tests, etc. |

Well, I can't say I know how they work, but what I'd recommend, it build a whole bunch of random brown blocks to form a maze (sort of) then pop in each one and see what they do.
Either that, or go to Forest Secret and Donut Plains 2 inside LM and see what their auto-scrolls are - then play them in ZSNES and see how they work. Those are the only ways I can think of |

Hi.
Being as that I have seen some levels in both the original SMW and DW: TLC use one of the six special Auto-Scroll commands (I don't mean the commands to make the screen scroll at slow, medium or fast speed, I mean the commands Auto-Scroll Special 1, Auto-Scroll Special 1-A, Auto-Scroll Special 2, Auto-Scroll Special 2-A, Auto-Scroll Special 3 and Auto-Scroll Special 4), there is a slight chance I might use one of these six Auto-Scroll commands on one of my Star World levels, but I need to ask a really important question first, as I don't want to try any of these commands just yet.
How do each of the six commands here work?
Thanks in advance. Of all the concepts of LM that confused me at first, this has to be one of the most confusing so far. |
