yeah, I figured that much out, I have virtual dub, and textsub now, and I selected Xvid for the codec, since thats what it was in to begin with, and now its saving, gonna take over an hour though. Thanks

You can do it by using Virtualdub and textsub. open virtualdub and click in the video/filters menu, and add textsub. Then you can load the subtitles (giving some format). Choose video/compression to choose which codec your're gonna uswe to create the avi. Then choose file, save avi file (or sth like that) and it will make the avi with the subs in it

Ok, I got a movie, and I also have a SSA file, which are the subtitles, how do I go about putting them into the avi file, so that I can convert that to DVD format and burn it to a dvd, I know the latter, but I cant figure out how to get the subtitles in the movie.
