The graphics really brought out the movie. I liked how they were all a Matrixy/Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon type thing.

Some subtitled ones go really fast mine did too..I should watch it again to get the little bits and pieces I missed of it, including those small details.

I didn't like the game super <3 much; I thought it was well planned out, but I just didn't understand it enough .

The movie, however, filled a lot in, and I really liked it.

The action was just a little too reminiscent of The Matrix/Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, but I think it fit pretty well (although, I thought that the graphics were a little too realistics for "lol super physics").

So all in all, <3.

Did you like, not have subtitles on? Anyway, Vincent doesn't have a family, so unlike the rest of the crew, he likes to hang out in weird places.

Sure, you can sit there and say the animation and fancy scenes were nice, but just like people will argue with videogames with wonderful graphics, it's not the graphics that count deep down inside. This movie had too many unanswered and random things going on, and the plot seemed to start from nowhere and go nowhere.

It just ... I'm just clueless what I should say it about. I just don't think it was all that special at all, and I don't plan on seeing it again.

Have at you.

I agree, for instance
Spoiler:
When all the heroes show up to fight the summoned monsters, who called them? I can understand Tifa, Cloud, and Vincent being there, afterall, we saw them before (but then again, why was Vincent in the woods in the first place when he rescued Cloud?). Also, why did they let Cloud fight by himself against Kadaj/Sephiroth? Seems like the situation was pretty dangerous, wouldn't it have been better to have gone an all-out frontal assault? This problem seems common in many series though letting the main character fight alone even when it'd be better to go at it as a group. And also, how did all the others just suddenly realize what was going on with Kadaj/Sephiroth? I can understand those who were fighting directly against Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo understanding the situation, but the ones who just showed up...?

That's just a few of many questions, I'm sure. =/

Spoiler:
Remember, this wasan't exactly a subtle thing. bahamut didn't just pop out of the sky. First the children were taken, and everyone had been astir about that for at leasta day, and then Kadaj, Loz and that other asshat all had the kids stand in a circle around town square, and then a bunch of monsters came and started eating people. Also, remember on cloud's phone they called from Wutai asking about the children. I imagine something similar happened to all of their hometowns, and naturally following the children lead them to midgard. Once giant beasts started eating people, they probably all figure out something must have been happening in the town square.

They suddenly knew about the sephiroth thing because vincent told them, vincent figured it out because of his dark all knowingness , as well as his having seen them alot in the ainchents' city and being connected to the whole sephiroth thing.

Tifa coulden't even beat Loz. All of them conbined coulden't even really hurt Bahamut. So they coulden't even really hurt. And how was the world at stake? You get into the AH he has to win this fight ahhh!!! mode in movies, but really what would have happened had he not won? Also they weren't sure of when if ever he would turn into Sephiroth. But even with Sephiroth back, nothing too amazingly bad would happen. They were also watching so they could jump in if need be.

The movie has alot of intricate things that you have to watch for. Like Cloud was attacked, initially, by kadaj and his guys because Rufas told them that he had it. And Tifa does NOT have pokey nipples, they are the seams of her vest. Attention to detail is very important.

Nebetsu - The official OST will be out in a couple of weeks, you'll be able to find it then

Thayer - Good point, I don't think she's surprised though, more, relieved.

Yes I saw it in english subtitles. Althought the subtitles are pretty fast, I tried to read as fast as I can. I love the battle scenes, they were great. There was not much of a storyline, but it was great.

It's possible that they tried to call Cloud on his phone and kept getting "This is unavailable" as his Phone is underwater, so they decided to go to Midgar/Edge to se what was up and arrived slap bang in the middle of Bahamut's attack. There's also enough time for Tifa to ring them whilst Cloud is at the forgotten city. As for why the left him to fight alone - perhap;s they realised that this was a fight he must win alone, so to excorcise his demons.

Hmm but then...
Spoiler:
Why does Tifa seem so surprised when they show up at first? I think that kills the second possibility. The first one is an idea, but really this should have been answered in the movie itself, don't you agree? As for exorcising his demons, personal drama versus ensuring safety of the world, where's the priority here?
I think you've hit the nail on the hammer by describing it as "an excuse for Cloud to kick arse again".

Elmo -- yeah Kadaj's use of Materia was something I picked up on too.

I was wondering what magic spell that fancy *green* materia in his arm was going to do.... and the results didn't match up.

Well one reason why I like the film so much is that FFVII formed an integral part of my life - I owe that game so much, it introduced me to the first (and to date only) love of my life and has also introduced me to so many friends. Without FFVII I wouldn't be on this board right now either.

if you're really familiar with the plot (and I don't want to blow my own trumpet, but as I've spent countless hours debating the plot, I know it pretty damn well). then a lot of it does make sense, there's a lot of allusions to things only hinted at in the plot of the game, and so it does make sense, on that level. However, it's not a detailed chararcter study, it's just an excuse for Cloud to kick arse again As someone used to looking for plot holes, I remember balking at the fact that Kadaj didn't use a RED materia when he was supposed to - He used a Green one instead. Curse my fussy nature.

Trapster - Level 70! BLimey, you're going to find the rest of the game a piece of cake, apart from the optional bosses - you need to be at level 99 for those. Get Kinghts of the Round and you really are sorted for the remainder of the game.

Alrighty Answers -

Rydain (Only read this if you don't want to find out during the game)-
Spoiler:
The lifestream is a force that flows through the planet, like an underground stream, It's somewhere you go when you die - your life force is returned to the planet, so everything goes in circles basically. Cloud is returned to the planet, but Aeris intervenes and sends him back - possibly as payback for ridding the world of Jenova/Sephiroth. The reason he ends up in the church is that there is a Lifestream spring there (We see it earlier in the film), and it's why flowers grow in the slums

Yeah..I kinda forgot what that song was called I remember hearing the songs in the movie before and I thought that was coolio . It was very appealing and amusing..the plot wasn't..which did make it kinda blah but it was decent enough.
