It's not so much that HIV doesn't exist in and of itself; that's preposterous, there's all manner of data for the virus catalogued in any self-respecting college level virology book.
It's what HIV actually does; there are many other sources of autoimmunodeficiency, and sometimes HIV doesn't actually do what one would think it was supposed to in a particular person. Many are immune to the effects of the virus because of disrupting its life cycle at various stages, and others would have reacted the same way to its presence as they would have to other viruses or foreign particles. In fact, it is because of these inconsistencies that AIDS is so difficult to medicate or vaccinate against.
That aside, though, HIV is most certainly capable of producing AIDS, unless the entire scientific community is in on some huge, cruel farce (doo-doo-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo-doo....). |

I like how they use quotes from 1993 as definitive sources relating to scientific knowledge at this time when compared to that time.
The logic behind that gives me sexual gratification. |

I visited a message board with these denialists/dissidents and they refer to it as "AID$" and "AIDS Inc." Some of them go so far as to say that the emotional stress of being told you have the HIV virus is what leads you to develop AIDS in the first place.
An aquaintence of mine tested HIV positive two years ago. He laughed, and it was not fake nor forced in the least. He really doesn't care, he's fine with dying at any time, so that at least offers some anecdotal opposition to the idea that worrying about getting AIDS is what causes it. |

Maybe you've heard of them, and maybe you haven't. There are people out there who doubt and deny either the existance of the HIV or claim it doesn't cause AIDS.
This seems to be the main source these days. Although, denialists/dissidents have been around since the dawn of the AIDS crisis.
The reasons they believe in this can be found on that site, for the most part. The Perth Group has also been on the same stance and is another big name in their community.
I visited a message board with these denialists/dissidents and they refer to it as "AID$" and "AIDS Inc." Some of them go so far as to say that the emotional stress of being told you have the HIV virus is what leads you to develop AIDS in the first place.
They seem to believe that it was created for the sole purpose of making money.
Here, read through a few of these threads to get an idea of their mindset. You might be angered at what some of them say.
The main reason I make this thread is to get a different perspective other than my own on this situation. What are your thoughts on this and what are your beliefs? |
