$15/month, and they can't even be bothered to use v3.5e rules? Bah!

Not too sure I'm keen on the whole questing for Exp/Loot in place of the kill beasties for Exp/Loot, but it will make it different from all the other ORPGs out there...

So far, I've haerd good things about this (not that a ton of stuff is known yet, but that's beside the point). I hope it lives up to the expectations, and isn't just another eTools or D&D Movie...

So.....

Dungeons and Dragons Online is coming out uh...probably next year. They're in alpha right now, which I don't have access to, and a friend at work is playing.

Apparently, you don't get any experience or loot from killing things whatsoever. The sole means of getting xp is from doing quests. It took him a week to get to level 2.

The combat is suppose to be good to. Like, if you swing at something and some other mob comes in the way of it, then you'll hit that one. And you can actually dodge projectile attacks instead of them homing in on your like WoW.

Anyway, as a long time fan of p&p dnd, I'm looking forward to this. Yes, there will be a monthly fee. No, 15ish dollars a month will not break the bank.

Silvershield, your thoughts?

3.5 rules by the way. None of that cruddy 2. >D

EDIT: Oh, and here.
