Ok, a few questions about this game.

1. What system is it for?
2. How does the game work? Semi-RPG semi-platformer doesn't help. Is it a fast paced almost beat-em-up style of gameplay or what?

Also, is it something to keep playing over and over again or just to design something? If it is one or the other, than I want it. Those creations look awesome! Makes me want to do Mario or something...

Hmmm... anyone tried a Spartan yet?

Old school... that was the charm I was looking for!

Well, here we go. I've got some stuff. Though, I wish I could've made videos, but forsome reason, they just won't show up...

Personally, i like the single player. It's very old-school.

Here, I'll type out what they said:

Calling a game "charming" is sometimes the equivalent of saying that a heinous psycho hose beast has "a good personality". Graffiti Kingdom (the follow up to Magic Pengel) follows this formula --- it seems conscious of the fact that is has awful control and braindead combat, so it overcompensates with a nauseating quirk factor. The easy-to-use creature creator is fun, and is extremely satisfying to watch your demented aberattions comes to life (especially in versus mode) but everything else about is is just plain no good. ---Joe

Hmm, this game really sounds interesting. Mainly that you can transform into different creatures.

First link: This one was pretty cute. The animation down there was hilarious.

Second link: Who the hell is that?

Third link: O...kay? Wtf is up with the sound effects in that flash?

Fourth link: I´d rather go with this one than the third.

Fifth link: I´d SO like to have this one. Terra rocks.

Sixth link: Damn, that´s big arms.

Actually, I believe they just use a fucked-up scale where 7 is Average on a 1-10 scale.

why, I have no idea...

So basically GI (which I've never read mind you) is full of elitist reviewers who basically trash a game (even one that gets 7/10) if it doesn't live up to their lofty standards?

Wow. I thought EGM was harsh back in the day.

GI basically says that anything under an 8 is a waste of cash.

Talk about "watered-down modelling programs" for you. :\

Oh, and you could have mentioned the DS link for the third one as well, Hiryuu. Average rating for the game seems to be 71% so the GI review was one of the harsher ones.

And I'm scared when you're telling people a game that scores 6/10 is a "waste of cash". Maybe only for diehard fans of the genre, but that's a pretty high standard.

I'm amazed someone mentioned this game. I was strangely hyped up only because of the watered down creations one can create. I personally think that most review sites have the right to give the game a 6 just because of the single player experience. The real fun is just creating new things and just see it breath. Though, personally, I liked the story in a campy sort of way.

I'll post my stuff as soon as I find my digital camera... or I should just wait for Sion to come by so I can use his..

Kirb was talking about it to me.

He also listed off a shitload of good ones [rummages through logs]:

Mmyes...Sigma Star Story...
Sure we know who he is...
Ehheh...
Yep...this game made these
Though I dunno what FF is doing in it...
...or Dalkstalkers...

So yea. GI gave it a 6 and told people it was a waste of cash.

Ok, here's a weird gem that i've found out about by browsing /v on 4chan. I saw it at EB for 30 bucks and i was like "what the hell, i'll buy it"

Standard plot, young prince who's full of himself has to save the kingdom from an evil demon using a magical tool that looks like a paintbrush. Nothing too spectacular there.

Its pretty much a 3d platformer with some rpg elements, and a pretty nifty twist: you can transform into various creatures, whether they be hand-made, or found throughout the levels. Yes, hand-made. There's a REALLY watered-down 3d modelling program, that actually makes it really simple to create some awesome stuff. It's kind of limited at first, but as you level up, more and more options/parts/attacks are available to you.

graphics are really nice. Bright and colorful. The textured effects they do are quite nice as well.

Only complaint i have about the game is the GOD AWFUL dub. its so...emotionless, i guess.

Overall, though. Well worth the cash if you can find it.

i'll post my crappy creations on it later.
