Well I know that they made documents of the 6502 assembly of SMB1 AND the FDS version of SMB2j (so some Japanese hackers know lots about the ROM[s]), so that may be why they can cook up such cool ASM hacks. And that hack I linked to is about 80 KB, but that could be because of the wind.

I would like to thank you for that. But I do not know how the Japanese hackers were better than any Amercian hackers like me along others. World 9 series is almost completed but it is now require a 41,488 byte rom also due to limited amount of free space. I will post more screenshots in a New Thread.

Well, that hack I was talking about (by MHS) not only has the new blocks from SMB2j, upside down pipes, and upside down pipes, but wind and the cloud platforms replacing the mushroom platforms too.

I better get home from here and after I vote tonight.

More update of World A-D hack: World A-3 I made has a Mushroom Platforms instead of a cloud attribute. If it is a cloud attribute and when Mario falls off the screen you are back at the beginning of the starting point. However I might change the palette of the FDS Mushroom Platforms/Clouds from 8-3 from orange to white if I import the FDS GFX. I do not know how the heck SMB deluxe has an cloud object if its not a bonus cloud level.

I recommend that you contact them in Japanese, not English. When I tried to contact Beta with English, there was no reply. He could've thought that it was spam, but Japanese hackers will most likely reply to emails in Japanese. You could use Google's translating tools to translate the english message to Japanese, if you don't know any.

That would be the best idea i've ever heard AP. Yesterday I started looking in the Readme.txt in Mario Bros Adventures hack and I see that MHS created the upside down pipes and Beta with the Upside down piranha plant patch.

I've also analyzed the items between Smb2j and Smb1 by using the HEX Editor and I see some duplicate items in SMB1 has been changed in Y positon 0-B like Flagpole and Reverse L pipes to Poisonus Mushrooms and Invisible Mushrooms and the Jump Springs changed colors and the Height distance in various worlds.

I will continue making these levels and put these objects to let these SMB1 moderators to know what I really need like HEX 0C/8C is the Poison Mushroom ? block in Y positon 0-B or Hex 4D/CD is the geen springs in Y positon D on my level editor.

By the way i'm also doing World 9 as well, it is my favorite. I'll send it to Beta and MHS about Tomorrow. I copyied the Object and Enemy HEX data from Smb2j.

I seem to have loads of trouble trying to do this. Continue working on those levels, and I'll insert them to a hack that has pratically all of the SMB2j features. Should that have to happen, please don't just credit me in the readme, but these Japanese ROM hackers named MHS and Beta, in which they together done most of the coding for putting the SMB2j features in the hacks with those SMB2j features. That would mean that this would be a mini group project with me and insectduel (insectduel does the levels, I revise to fit the new SMB2j features).

My sig contains hacks with smb2j-ish style. There's poison mushroom, luigi game, red pirhana plants, and hammer bros. that I got from YY's hacks. I made some extra little hacks myself too. I hope this helps you out about.

Sorry for my attitude, i'll try to keep it low. Here is my screenshots of my hack i'm working on.

Welcome to World A (That brick need to be replaced)

Hammer brothers coming to you.
NOTE: World A is normally Snow but I like it Green like in SMAS.

Luigi is part of this quest

FDS GFX included also. World A-2 is my current level

This hack requires a 41,488 byte ROM to patch with. I already included the:
Hammer bros. no wait on World 1 instead of World 7
Red Piranha Plants
Mario and Luigi Game
GFX changes are optional. Thanks to the SMB utility international. (SMB 3 Graphics won't be loaded properly since it also includes palette. I forgot who made the Special Mario Bros. with the SMB3 Graphics)

I will not and cannot relase a demo of it. I do not release demos.

The first thing I should do is to make all the levels without ASM's first and then send it to AP so I might know what items and enemies go here. I deserve AP most of the credit because of the SMB2j items and enemies in most of AP's hack.
(Including Fantasy Strange World I played yesterday)

I also deserve peter_ac credit for the Screen Boundaries for Worlds A-D in SMW.

No credit fo Bouche's SMB Deluxe Discombobulator for the GBC. Some Screen Boundaries is inaccurate and the Headers are Stupid.

I will continue using both the SMB Deluxe Discombobulator for the NES backgrounds and peter_ac's SMW hack for Screen Boundaries. But right now I needed more of AP's help.

Could you BE any more stuck up?

I mean I don't have a problem with asking for help and stuff... but damn man. You bust in here with a list of demands. No "please" or anything... just "hey I need someone to do this work for my hack". When AP is nice enough to help you turn around and smack him in the face with that quoted line. Then you continue to pile things up on your list of demands. No thanks for the help, or any sort of appreciation shown in any of your posts.

If I were AP, I'd stop helping you right there. Though hopefully for your sake AP's a nicer guy than me. In either case I suggest you change your tone.

World A of SMB2j would be World 1 in the hack
World B of SMB2j would be World 2 in the hack, etc.
Unless you can make Mario start at World A and you can put levels in worlds A-D. If you can do that, state which worlds you want the green springs to be in. I don't remember which worlds from A-D had green springs.

Duh, that's what I'm doing now. I've already completed A-1 so far in World 1-1 in Room 20(in Hex) using the SMB utility. I will start working on World A-2 in 1-2 in Room 40(in hex)

Peter_ac's SMW hack which is SMBDX with mario 3 graphics has a better screening and the enemies positioning so I could place the enemies and objects.

World C-3 I might think is the only level with the Green Springs but the Header in the GBC is stupid. They put Snow instead of Night and Snow 2.

I forgot to mention that I also need the 1-up on the Flagpole like one of your hacks.
Poison Mushroom ? block (Used in A-1 and other levels)
Invisible Poison Mushroom block (various levels)
Invisible Mushroom block (used in D-4)
Must be a seperate IPS patch.

And of course my hack requires a 41,488 byte version of SMB1.

The Green Spring that appear in different levels. I will plan to make World C-3 with the Green Springs.

If it doesn't work then I like to replace the Red with the Green Springs.

I've been playing AP's hack and it interests me to do World 9 all over again or World A-D in the NES Version.

I need the ASM/HEX or a seperate IPS patch for it other than the Poison Mushroom, Hammer Brother, or the Red Piranha Plants.

Here's the following

Green Spring Program

Upside down pipes

Upside down piranha plants

Poison Mushroom that is a different object if possible (Mostly invisible, but must be a beta or a crash object like in the SMB utility.)
